We had some extra days, before leaving for home in California, so we decided to take two side trips, La Coruna and Ferrol. Plaza Mayor La Coruna. We then went to lunch and had tropical salads. Lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, strawberry, peaches, and grilled shrimp with a thousand island dressing. It was delicious. Posted by Stu and Joan.

Saturday, August 4, 2012. May 28/2012 Ferrol to Pontedueme. You have to walk around this entire inlet to get to the far side. Leaving Ferrol along the seaside path. Views along the way. We are approaching the end of the inlet. A mill on the River Xubia, Naron. A mill on the River Xubia, Naron. Walking across the bridge into Pontedeume. A very helpful neighbor. Saying Good Bye to the owner of the Hotel San Vicente. The final paths into Santiago were gentle. Young Planted pine forest and "Way" marker. Getting closer the walk becomes industrial. Germany and Austria 2015. Monday, June 15, 2015. It was lightly raining when we left Rothenburg on the 0800 train towards Wurzburg. One transfer later we arrived with 30 minutes to spare prior to catching the fast train to Frankfurt . The train to Frankfurt was an hour late which is very unusual. Once again we stayed at the Bristol Hotel. Those manning the check in desk were very polite and helpful. The morning meal was included and service started at 0630. After checking in we went to the SkyLine Plaza.

Sunday, June 26, 2016. Castelrotto Day 5, Last day. Read what Rick Steves says of this are . Our final challenge was to take route 4 and hike all the way up to Compatsch from Kustelruth. It is 5.4 miles mostly up hill. Getting started early, thunderstorms predicted. Finger post 4 to the top. In the beginning, not bad. All homes are decorated outside with flowers.
