Volunteer Warden on the Camino de Santiago
Volunteer Warden on the Camino de Santiago. The Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage undertaken by many thousands of people per year. Most of them stay in hostels, called 'refugios' or 'albergues', which offer a bed and shower and sometimes meals, all for a small fee or voluntary donation. Many are staffed by volunteers. This is the story of a volunteer in two refugios over 4 weeks from August 15th 2009. Monday, 17 October 2011. It's all over now. It seems strange to have nothing to do! Links to this post.
