Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Finally I have had the time to actually sit down and write about our families new addition. This is Kane. We adopted him from the Coastal German Shepherd Rescue. He is about 4 years old, and he is the sweetest boy. Kane was a little shy in the beginning, and didn't have too much confidence. But day by day, he is opening up more and more and seems to be gaining his confidence back. Alright well here he is! Kane's lookout spot {the window in the guest bedroom}. The Semper Fi Fund.

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Saturday, April 23, 2011. I thought I had added these on my last post but I guess they got lost somehow. These trees are near Melissa's office and I thought they were really pretty. This is Tom in Lafayette Park. One of his favorite books, Hell's Corner by David Baldacci, is based here so it was fun to go look through the park and remember the different scenes from the book. We wished there was a Lost Symbols tour because that is another favorite :).

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Friday, May 7, 2010. Olivia's blessing day with Logan's parents,. Donna and Rich and his brother and sister-in-law, Brant and Chris. Collin took this picture and did a great job. Amy and Logan had a party for friends and family on Sat night to celebrate Evan's birthday and Livy's blessing. The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Sunday, March 13, 2011. Last Friday we decided to take a day off and go skiing. We hadn't been in a couple of years and the season is getting short. It was a beautiful, sunny day and so after seminary we headed for the mountains. We went to Sierra-at-Tahoe which is one of our favorite places and had a great day. There were no lines at all and so we got a lot of skiing in, so much that we had to take a couple of breaks because we getting tired. Brian, Amanda and Lexi.

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Saturday, December 5, 2009. Well it has been a while since I have blogged so I thought I would get caught up. It has been a busy week with Festival of Trees. I forgot to take pictures there so I will start with Thanksgiving. We went up to Utah and stayed with the Weston's in their new home. It is beautiful and huge and we are so happy for them. Our cute little G-Man. And Dan helping the kids put together a gingerbread train while Kristina and I hit "black friday.

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Family Picture in the lodge at Soldier's Hollow. CHRISTMAS 2010 IN UTAH. This year for Christmas we went to Kristina and Dan's house in Spanish Fork. The Sheen's drove up from Austin and we had a fun week together. The first morning we woke up to 30 inches of new snow. It was beautiful, a winter wonderland. Grumps enjoyed shoveling snow for the first time in his life.he's from California you know :). Inside the new Hinckley Building at BYU.

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Sunday, August 2, 2009. A couple of weeks ago Tom had the idea to go hiking on Mt. Tamalpais, so we looked on the maps and found what we thought was a 3-4 mile hike. As we hiked we decided to go to the top and it turned into an 8 mile, strenuous hike.
