Friday, 21 January 2011. The digipak shows a clear visual link with the advertisement as both use the same font and colour scheme throughtout. Dark backgrounds also feature in the digipak and advertisement which is a direct comparison to our music video where we chose to have a dark setting. The album cover and advertisement stand out as they both have large images which emphasise the importance of the artist, the light clothing makes it more visable on a dark background theme that I chose to use. Anothe...

Our music video stuck to the normal conventions of pop videos, switching between performance clips of the singer and shots displaying the narrative of the video. We were mostly inspired by the original video for Smile. The digipak cover was also conventional, as the front cover is simply a picture of the singer's face with the...

Friday, 21 January 2011. What have you learned from your audience feedback? In my own opinion I feel that me and my group have come together and produced an amazing piece of work with the music video along with each of our own digipaks. This is a link to Vimeo with the audiences views, comments and ratings about my video but as you can see no one has yet rated or commented on my video so far, but I think that it is just because they have not yet found the video and been able to see it. I just want to men...

Thursday, 20 January 2011. 1 In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Sandi Thom - I wish I was a punkrocker. The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony. Lily Allen - LDN. These music videos have influenced me when brainstorming ideas for our group music video. Although we did not use the original video directly, it inspired us through the urban surroundings and the use of mise en scene and camerawork. Having a long-medium shot of the artist on t...
