Emmet is going to be a year old in less than two months. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I don't think so. It won't be long before he's totally independent and embarrassed by me, so I'm enjoying this time while I can. Good view of his three toofers! Monday, April 28, 2014. Last Saturday we finally had Emmet's 4-month check-up, 17 days after he turned 4 months. His official stats:. 25 1/2 inches long (46th percentile). 15 pounds, 11 ounces (43rd percentile). Noggin is 93rd percentile, I think. The appointment was largely uneventful. Little man is happy, healthy and hitting all the normal milestones ahead of schedule. We're lucky to have him! Thank you, Mother Nature. Like I said, terrible pictures. But we tried. Hoping this gorgeous weather continues...

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Less than a month until my sweet little man is a year old? The day before he turned 11 months, E buddy took his first (unassisted) steps! He still has three teeth on the bottom, none on top. He now pretty much eats whatever we eat. His favorites include bananas, chili and cheerios (but not together). Big boy is now in 12-month clothes, although some of his 9-month clothes still fit. He is also still in Size 3 diapers. Checking out the airplanes (please excuse the runny nose).

Monday, April 20, 2015. This past week we've had an unusual amount of rain, so we haven't been able to spend as much time outdoors as we normally do. But that didn't stop us from being busy. We may be over 800 miles away, but that didn't stop us from celebrating Opening Day! Friday night we played cards on our back porch. War and Go Fish are the girls' favorites at the moment. Monday, July 27, 2015. When Matt travels for work. I just try to hold the kids and the house together. Some days I'm more successful than others. It certainly helps that I'm not working these days. And it also helps that it's summer, and we have no place to be at any given time (with few exceptions). I let Emmet run around the house in his diaper most days.
