Wednesday, July 22, 2015. TAM MACARTHUR RIM TRAIL. We had a wonderful "weekend" off with daddy this week. Monday we spent the day at the SHARC swimming and Tuesday we climbed a pretty awesome Mountain! In the background you can see the Rim off to the right. This is where we would end up in 2.5 difficult miles. We started out the hike by playing in the lake and skipping rocks! One of the many viewpoints. The trail was difficult and we were extremely proud of how well the boys did. He is such a character!

Monday, October 27, 2014. It's been a couple of years since we have been here but it's always a great little desert adventure;). August was delighted to walk a few feet before going in the pack. The landscape in this canyon is beautiful. The trees are full of green moss and each one has it's own character. We found vertebrae and the feather remains of a raptors lunch today. This is a perfect adventure for kids because it doesn't matter how far you go. It's fun the entire time. A little snack break! Silly...

Tuesday, February 17, 2015. LIVING OUT OUR DREAM. We come to this place multiple times a year. It's just one of those places. Before Greg and I had kids we would imagine the joy these little (BIG) fish would bring our child. Yes child.we were "those" parents. One was plenty and we were proud to be the chosen few who opted to have one spoiled entitled kid! And THIS happened. Three beautiful boys came in and rocked our world in ways we never could have dreamed of. And ornery. :). I'm thankful for them.

Monday, July 21, 2014. BLACK BUTTE BIKE RIDE. Black Butte Ranch has a wonderful bike trail system that circles the property. Cannell's Journey Through Colorado! Sunday, March 27, 2016. We have the BEST sledding hill right in front of our house! A beautiful sunny day to enjoy this hill. It was so fun that I had to join in! Greg and I were both super scared but managed to not make a trip to the ER. August was fearless on this hill. So much fun watching him. I lost count of how many times we climbed this hill. I had to run home for a quick bar of energy to keep up with my boys. Risking my life for them:). We built multiple snowmen.

Cannell's Journey Through Colorado! Tuesday, December 27, 2016. We had a blast sledding today even though the snow was pretty light. We drove North and found a dusting of snow on a hill in Fox Run;). The weather was perfect and we now have a great hill to come back to when we actually have snow! August had so much fun and truly has no fear. Somehow the sled still worked with the lack of snow! Because there is no parking anywhere near the trail head, you need to park in town and walk up to it. We took the Belvidere Avenue route to the trailhead. They found a fun little arcade place in downtown Manitou and tried out all of the cool rides! Carousel was his favorite. While they were busy playing, I had some time to myself and did the Manitou Incline. It was a tough climb but I enjoyed every step of it! Cannell's Journey Through Colorado! Sunday, April 17, 2016. We had a bit of a storm yesterday and stayed in due to the high winds but today we took advantage of what may be our last chance to go sledding! The wind was still strong but we braved it anyway! Goggles and snow masks were essential gear today! Greg and Canyon cleared a huge path and buried themselves! Greg is the black hand:). August is the bravest of our three.
