Monday, July 15, 2013. School is officially out! This summer break got started off with a bang last weekend with a trip to Mayoka in Nkhata Bay. Mayoka is a beautiful resort/lodge on Lake Malawi, and I had never been there to see Nkhata Bay yet! Abbie and I joined Matt and all of the University of Dayton volunteers who are currently here with the Ethos engineering program and the Political Science Malawi Practicum. Saturday, September 7, 2013. This August has been a crazy month. Abbie left to visit home, and I stayed here in Malawi. For most of the month I hung out and relaxed at Maji Zuwa. I read lots of books, and watched some tv shows on my computer. For my birthday on August 18. I enjoyed some awesome care packages. One was from my parents, and the other was from Dana and Anne, two of my closest friends from UD! These packages made my day, and they both arrived just in time. On August 21. It was pretty awesome!

The blog world seems to have gone mad for them thanks to Karen. Here is one I've just crocheted (using a pattern I blogged. Last year) which I think will be a Christmas pressie for some lucky person:. It's crocheted from a gorgeous pink wool I got in Loop. It's slightly less snuggly than my snoods from last year as I only used one ball, but I think it still works.
