For the past 8 or 9 years i have celebrated my birthday by doing some sort of challenging physical activity . either a race or a hard ride in the hills. physical activity has become. My way of life so it seems only fitting that it's how i celebrate the day if was given. What it used to be. i haven't swum more than 3000 meters in forever. Fun part ....

Sunday, January 18, 2009. Today i played in the fields of the lord, no .wait. sorry . i ran in the garden of the gods. It was heavenly to see, though not so much to run. actually, that's not true. i enjoyed the run . just not reading the pace calculator on mapmyrun. I logged just over 8 of the slowest miles i have run since i started running in 1999. i told my coach. I would dub this run "the ego crusher" except for the fact that i was proud of myself for sticking it out. Rage, i suggest you try it.

I just spent longer than i want to admit on writing a post (or ranting, as the case may be). i got half way through it and heard the words a friend of mine said the other day. he said that for the past few years he's been focusing in what's working in his life instead of what he needs to work on/fix. Heard the same concept in different words a million times. i've. So i thought of that i was writing and it made me not want to publish the rant about the jerk who did this on the pch.

In any case, i tried it and loved how it tasted. i didn't use any honey or maple syrup when i was sick, but since getting better i've actually been drinking it (making it with bubbly water and a little bit of syrup) as a refreshing healthy soda pop. In other news, Shaun has been away for the past 3 weeks. He was due to be back in the UK tomorrow but then I got a call last night saying that he is not back until Monday morning. Urgh! I am so excited about all the sport this summer - CAN'T WAIT! Wimbledon is just around the corner. Then Tour de France, and then finally.THE OLYMPICS! Have a good one ADC!
