A wise post-doc mentioned to me the other day that this is often how it feels when doing a PhD. For most of it you can feel like you’re not getting anywhere and then suddenly everything starts falling into place. This is how I feel at the moment. Who knows how long it will last, but for the time being, I’m really happy with all I’ve achieved and feel like celebrating! My first day of PhD field work.
