In Our Neighborhood: Our 6th wedding anniversary
http://rogersfamilytales.blogspot.com/2015/08/our-6th-wedding-anniversary.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Our 6th wedding anniversary. This year we celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful day full of many sweet memories. This year I was really missing my mom. She always did what she could to make the day special for us, such as babysitting or getting us a gift card to a pedicure or dinner. I was really in a sad and funky mood the morning of our anniversary. John just let me sulk, and held me when I needed it. August 9, 2015 at 7:30 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comment...

In Our Neighborhood: March 2015

Monday, March 30, 2015. After 12 days in the hospital, Audry is home! She is resting and adjusting. It will take some time for everyone to learn how it's best to do things. I'm confident we will all find our strengths and work well as a team. This was at the hospital yesterday. Sydney was enjoying GiGi being more mobile. She even filed her nails and rode in the wheelchair to eat lunch in the cafeteria. We are so excited to have my mom home! Continued energy and pain relief for Audry. Links to this post.

In Our Neighborhood: An update on Audry
http://rogersfamilytales.blogspot.com/2015/05/an-update-on-audry.html
Thursday, May 21, 2015. An update on Audry. Unfortunately, I don't have good news. Earlier this week Audry was admitted to the hospital for a serious infection. She quickly declined in health and her kidney function finished. The photo above was the first night at the hospital. Today, she was moved to a hospice facility. We are not sure how much longer Audry will be with us. There is a chance she could improve slightly and do home hospice. However, she will no longer do chemo or any treatments.

Monday, August 24, 2015. First Day of Preschool. Sydney was so excited for preschool this year. It's all she could talk about over the weekend. Last week we went to the Preschool Preview to meet her teachers and the other kids. Sydney was thrilled! On Monday morning she was so enthusiastic. She enjoyed posing for photos and wanted to really be a rockstar. She had picked out her outfit, saying it made her feel like a rockstar and amazing. As we walked into the preschool, she said "I feel like a teenager!

In Our Neighborhood: September 2014
http://rogersfamilytales.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2014. Since the local pumpkin patch is only open to the public on weekends and John usually works then, we decided we needed to go when we had a chance. John got home from work at about 3:30, so we headed to the farm! Sydney loved all of the pumpkins, of course. She liked seeing them grow in the fields and all of the different kinds already picked. Here is what else we did while at the pumpkin farm! Had to take a turn in the pumpkin bounce house! Slid down the giant hill! The museum...

Sunday, May 31, 2015. What weve been up to. While John had to go back to work last week, I have been at home. The day my mom died was supposed to be my last day at the newspaper. The day of her funeral was supposed to be my first day at my new job. We went to the museum, where Sydney spent the majority of our time in Puoneer Town. She really enjoyed dressing up and pretending to be a teacher in the old school house. We explored other areas, too, but even went back to Pioneer Town before we left. Later th...

In Our Neighborhood: Women of Faith Loved Tour
http://rogersfamilytales.blogspot.com/2015/07/women-of-faith-loved-tour.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. Women of Faith Loved Tour. Back in early December, I was talking to Elizabeth. About Women Of Faith. She had been, and I had never attended. I was telling her how I heard Jen Hatmaker was going to be there, so I was interested in going to the Oklahoma City event. She suggested I get my tickets immediately because it was the farewell tour and would sell fast. I asked Katy if she'd go with me and I booked our tickets. Katy was thrilled to see Sandi Patty and her family sing. Let me t...

Friday, October 31, 2014. Sydney wanted to be a cowgirl sheriff for Halloween this year. She's been planning on it since about August. The Tuesday before Halloween we went around to family and friends who we wouldn't get a chance to see on Halloween. We took a dinner break at Chick-Fil-A, where Sydney was so excited to see Queen Elsa! We enjoyed trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, and even stopped by our friend Keith's house. He had a fire pit with fixings for s'mores. It was a fun treat! After the pa...

Thursday, July 30, 2015. T-ball season came to an end and I have to say we are all kinda happy about that. Sydney had some fun times, but also some challenging ones. However, she was so excited she got a trophy. She carried it over her head as we left the baseball complex. So glad she got to try this new experience, but now we know this sport probably isn't for her. Links to this post. Monday, July 27, 2015. Women of Faith Loved Tour. In Our Neighborhood: Date Night: Summer Camp!
http://rogersfamilytales.blogspot.com/2015/07/date-night-summer-camp.html
Friday, July 17, 2015. Date Night: Summer Camp! It's been quite a while since John and I have had any quality time together for just the two of us. So, when we found out the local Discovery Center was having an evening event for adults, we thought it'd be a good idea to go. It was summer camp themed, which was a lot of fun. There were a lot of activities, such as learning about insects, boat races, archery, fishing and water balloons. John and I had a great time! July 18, 2015 at 6:54 PM. Picture Window ...
