Monday, April 6, 2015. Along with a couple of frame repaints, I'm endeavoring to finish Tinas mixte. The monolug is almost doe. I've added the ports for the laterals, now just want to reshape the points. The rocker dropouts are brazed on. This will be the lug for the lateral supports. Long way to go. I really want tapered laterals and none are made long enough. So I spliced two 560mm tapered seat stays together at the 14mm end. When cut, they will be perfect. Links to this post. Saturday, June 21, 2014. Still playing with the removable tail light mount. It looks too long and spindly. If the light and/or rack mount aren't in use, a screw like this can be used. This was a chain ring bolt I drilled and tapped for a 5 mm thread and then turned down the head O.D. Just a shot with Robins caliper and the cable routing. Links to this post. In fact, it still needs some refinement so that the cables stay where they should with making it aestically annoying. Other than having a long runs being longer (a 12 mile long run compared to a 7 mile long run currently) a few weeks prior to the event, I am already doing what I was then. My weekly training total was probably 10 hours on average for that event and this week I will hit the same amount of time. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in November.
