Penstrokes: May 2015
http://penstrokesbycathy.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. Day 151 - Wings. I kept the same quote. Then I looked through my Ben Kwok templates to find something with wings. I used half of a butterfly template. Then I drew, tangled and assembled a tree. The tree is for the roots. The butterfly is the wings. This page, while much less colorful, is much more to my liking. I am not sure what I want to work on this rainy day 151. Thank you so much for dropping by and saying hello. I hope you are having a wonderful day! Saturday, May 30, 2015.

Thursday, January 29, 2015. Day 29 String Challenge. Adele Bruno's string challenge is so much fun. The next few weeks we are going to be using "heart" tangles. This one was begging for some color but I just felt more traditional tonight. Maybe next week. Have a blessed day! Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Day 28 - Diva's Challenge. Day 28 and here is a duo tangle for the Diva's challenge. The two tangles are chebucto and copada. Both are tangles I don't use very much so this really was a challenge. Every I...

Penstrokes: February 2015
http://penstrokesbycathy.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. Days 56 and 57. Snow is heading our way so we missed school today. I am going to forget what my kiddos look like! I also am going to suffer when I have actually work an entire full week. Yikes! I will not deny enjoying this time to create stuff and relax, but I do miss being on a schedule - even if at times it is hectic. I also did not bring anything home (again) so I may be without the ability to do any school work this weekend if we don't return. Pity me! Thank you, Erin!

I wanted to use those. Oh well, back to the scrapbooking supplies. I hope you are having a great Sunday afternoon! Thank you for stopping by. Please take a moment to look at my Penstrokes store. Also I would love it if you would share this with your friends. Days 113 - 115. For my Day 113. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. I dre...

Penstrokes: June 2015
http://penstrokesbycathy.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 28, 2015. Okay It is no secret to anyone who knows me, I love pens. I have a serious pen addiction, buying any interesting ones I see. But I suppose there are worse things to be hung up on, right? It is an interesting site and worth a visit. The first set of pens I looked at was the Slider Memo XB. Is the next in the photo. It is a very nice pen. Pretty basic (where did hear that? Compared to the rest, but still a nice value for the money. I did find that if I left it sitting (capped of ...

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Day 211 Playing with color! I cleaned out a drawer. Now that is not big news for some of you, but for me it was a task worth mentioning. The upside is that I found a large stack of cards given to me by . . . oh, I have no idea. So for day 211. I went to work playing on those cards. It was the least I could do after my cleaning chore! Thanks for dropping by - have a wonderful day! Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Days 207 - 210, Playing with paper dolls! I had so much fun looking at thei...

http://penstrokesbycathy.blogspot.com/2015/08/days-221-227-art-journal.html
Saturday, August 15, 2015. Days 221 - 227, An Art "journal". Monday and day 222. And in-service. I was fairly tired this afternoon, but worked for a while on the New to Me challenge. I used arnia and amphora for the new tangles that begin with the letter A. Then I used stitch and sandswirl for tangles by the artist Karry Heun. Fun! I put the finishing touches on my classroom door! Aren't my kids precious? Tonight at Open House the parents just loved it. Great for day 223. And I got to meet my kiddos!

Penstrokes: October 2014
http://penstrokesbycathy.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2014. Warning - the brightness of this paper may cause you to need sunglasses! I love paper. I collect pretty paper for use in my scrapbooks and at school. So when I opened this box of paper, all I could do was gasp. It is so bright and . . . well, flashy. I love it and I knew immediately my kids at school would love it. I also cut some of the cardstock into pieces to use to to my tangling on. The ink holds up well and again I like the boldness. It also looks great when using ...Satur...
