Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Tip of the Day. When rolling out pie dough, put the dough between two pieces of plastic or in a plastic bag. After you have finished rolling, you can easily pick up the dough and flip it into your pie pan – no sticking to your counter. Try this cake for a refreshing summer treat. It’s so easy and very tasty. 183; 1 package yellow cake mix. 183; 1 small package lemon Jell-O. 183; ¾ cup water. 183; ¾ cup oil. 183; 4 eggs (whisk each egg one at a time). 183; 2 cups powdered sugar.

Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Tip of the Week. When mixing sticky, goopy ingredients (molasses, honey, peanut butter), try spraying the measuring cups with non-stick spray first (just lightly). The ingredients will come out easier. Besides being delicious, this cake is very easy to double or cut in half because there is an even number of every ingredient. If you cut it in half, just use an 8x8 pan. 2 cups of flour. 2 cups of sugar. 2 teaspoons of baking soda. 1 20 oz can of crushed pineapple (don't drain).

Friday, July 30, 2010. Tip of the Week. Cookies are tricky. If you like them chewy, remove the cookies from the tray as soon as they are out of the oven. If you like them crunchy, bake them for a bit longer and leave them on the tray to cool. Want a twist on apple crisp? Try adding caramel and you won’t resist! 183; ½ cup caramel topping (I like to put in a little extra.). 183; ½ teaspoon cinnamon. 183; 6 large apples cut into ½ inch slices (about 6 cups). 183; 2/3 cups flour. 183; ½ cup brown sugar.

Friday, August 13, 2010. Tip of the Day. For crumble-free cake slices, heat your knife first. To heat the knife, just run it under warm water and wipe dry. (This same tip works when frosting a cake.)
