http://charleswhyte.blogspot.com/p/cafe-love.html

Eating out is one of life's greatest pleasures and I try to share details of the places I love. I call them my 'Cafe Love' posts but some of them might be better known as restaurants, coffee shops or pizzerias. Whatever you call them, I know the following is true - they serve food and they make my heart sing. North, South, East. North Melbourne - Elceed. Thornbury - Pizza Farro. Pizza Verde and Inner Biscuit. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Enter your email address:. Ellise @ Charles Whyte. A CUP OF JO.

Charles Whyte: Recipes

http://charleswhyte.blogspot.com/p/recipes.html

Preparing and sharing food is one of life's greatest pleasures and it's something most of us are fortunate to be able to do very often. When I find a recipe that makes my heart sing, I like to share it with friends. Here are some favourites I've shared with you, my cyber friends, here on the Charles Whyte blog. Bon appetit! Triple choc cookies (Donna's cafe-style recipe). Red velvet layer cake (and Nigella's red velvet cupcakes). Nigella's apple and cinnamon muffins. Dark chocolate and salted caramel tart.

Charles Whyte: Gifts for a newborn: DIY felt finger puppets and theatre

http://charleswhyte.blogspot.com/2014/02/gifts-for-newborn-diy-felt-finger.html

Monday, February 24, 2014. Gifts for a newborn: DIY felt finger puppets and theatre. When friends had a beautiful baby boy last month, I knew I wanted to get crafty and give them some handmade gifts. It just made sense since they are great supporters of this blog and my DIY projects, plus Mrs Tee (now Mummy Tee! Is known to make amazing advent calendars each Christmas for her little family members. After seeing the felt characters that Jenny made for her daughter on Little Green Notebook. To make the pup...

Charles Whyte: July 2012

http://charleswhyte.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 29, 2012. How to hold onto your creativity by a whisker (and sew a patchwork cushion and bunting for a nursery). This blog is all about the things that make my heart sing and my latest project is no exception. Making something new always provides a big thrill when it works. So too does making something special for someone you love. When they like and/or appreciate the results, it's worth every minute devoted to the task. The real feel-good factor though is simply in the making. I hadn't used...

Charles Whyte: A new obsession: hobnail milk glass

http://charleswhyte.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-new-obsession-hobnail-milk-glass.html

Wednesday, February 5, 2014. A new obsession: hobnail milk glass. Image via Zsa Zsa Bellagio. Do you ever wonder how you become fixated on certain items? Or how you go from not knowing what something is one day to feeling like you must have it the next? Image via Haus of Mason. So, what's my latest obsession you ask? One look at the title of this post gives it away - hobnail milk glass. Do you know it? Image via Haus of Mason. It's made by Alex Liddy and is available in House stores. Usually I stick to m...

OH-MY-LA: November 2010

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

A few of my favourite things. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Spring Challenge day 26 (2 days to go). Conditions: sunny and fresh, 15. Attire: jeans, tshirt, sneakers. Another wonderful, easy ride to work. I left home much earlier than usual so that made me smile too! It feels like second nature to pack my panniers and put on my helmet each morning and my commute is now a highlight of my day - especially with a beautiful morning like this one! Links to this post. OH-MY-LA: March 2011

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

A few of my favourite things. Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Febfast update: Week 4. It's the 1st of March! You know what that means don't you - yeah yeah summer's over. I made it through febfast! If you had intended to donate (but wanted to see if I'd succeed first) you can still sponsor me. Until 31st March. And if you're considering a week or a month 'on the wagon' - I highly recommend it - you'll feel great and be so proud of yourself when you've achieved your goal! Links to this post. OH-MY-LA: Everybody has a dream car...

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2010/10/everybody-has-dream-car.html

A few of my favourite things. Friday, October 22, 2010. Everybody has a dream car. Tamra's got her eyes on a green mustang. The motor of a GTR-XU1 Torana rev's Trav up. And now I too long for a big, strong, 'real metal' beauty, behold the 1947 Chevrolet Fleetline! I first spotted my baby. When I was doing research at the Ruffled blog. The red. Suits me just fine but I also like the look of this gunmetal grey. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cosy up next to the fire. Everybody has a dream car. Spring ...

OH-MY-LA: Hello Mantle!

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2011/01/hello-mantle.html

A few of my favourite things. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. She finishes our little lounge off perfectly - and dare I say, even makes the space appear larger! She was definitely worth the princely sum of $41 and a few hours work - and I was rapt that we got it together before NYE! And a few pretty shots all dolled up for NYE. I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot more of her. PS One of my goals this year is to take better photos! Ellise @ Charles Whyte. Score Its looks great. January 5, 2011 at 8:51 PM.

Trend: Feminine Touches - Effortless Style Blog

http://blog.effortless-style.com/2011/04/trend-feminine-touches

Filed Under: High Point. Another trend that I enjoyed seeing at market was a move towards the feminine side of design. While there was an amount of dark muted colors and the industrial chic look that tends to lean towards the more masculine side of design at this show it was in the minority. I also so happy to see a cheerful array of color( orange and pink were everywhere), pattern play, flower power, attention to detail and overall spaces that I could call home in a heartbeat. OH-MY-LA: It's been swell

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2011/05/its-been-swell.html

A few of my favourite things. Saturday, May 28, 2011. But the swelling's gone down. My first blog has been a really enjoyable learning. Experience (emphasis on the learning. I was excited to share my thoughts on all of my many interests and to find a few new friends along the way. Now it's time to step away and let new ideas and directions emerge. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for my next adventure. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cosy up next to the fire. Everybody has a dream car. Moo i made it.

OH-MY-LA: Cosy up next to the fire...

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2010/12/cosy-up-next-to-fire.html

A few of my favourite things. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Cosy up next to the fire. That was my favourite activity when I grew up in Macedon - I'd even sit right next to it with a big bowl of ice cream in the dead of winter! So I'm sure you can imagine that I'm looking forward to many moments like this with our new fireplace - and although I know we won't be roasting marshmallows anytime soon, we'll definitely be able to soak up a little ambiance. I always liked the DIY chalkboard idea from JaimeScott.

OH-MY-LA: Spring Challenge Day 6 (22 days to go)

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2010/09/spring-challenge-day-6-22-days-to-go.html

A few of my favourite things. Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Spring Challenge Day 6 (22 days to go). Conditions: 11, wet roads and drizzle but not cold. Attire: fishtail skirt, stockings, black heels and riding tops. Also, I'd attached one of my eBay bargain mirrors but it'll need some adjustment - all I can see is my arm at this stage. OH-MY-LA: Just in time for winter

http://oh-my-la.blogspot.com/2011/05/just-in-time-for-winter.html

A few of my favourite things. Monday, May 23, 2011. Just in time for winter. It's been a while but I wanted to pop in and share with you the end to what has been a very exciting project. Do you remember the mantlepiece. We installed at the end of last year? This weekend we were finally able to cosy up next to our new fireplace - that's right, the painting has arrived! Here is the blazing fire. Now for a close up. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cosy up next to the fire. Everybody has a dream car.

Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Farewell Footscray and our home sweet home. A note from me:. I hope our paths cross again soon. Over five years ago, one of my early blog posts was titled "Au revoir Moonee Ponds, Hello Footscray". Now, with mixed feelings, we are saying goodbye to our sweet home in Footscray and moving on to something bigger in the nearby suburb of Yarraville. Another of my very early blog posts, titled "A place to call my own". We've come a long way, baby! A few notes on colours and suppliers.
