Chasing julia on Martha's Vineyard - Blog
Gone are the dog days of summer. Summer's sun has given way to autumn. The days are noticeably shorter, soon it will be dark by 4:30 pm. With the changing of the weather comes the return of the Vineyard to its local frame of mind. Year-rounders are whistling. Dogs are once again allowed on the beaches. Yellow school buses slow down traffic. Hiking is at it's best. I pay tribute now to the best of summer and the makings of a really great fall. A glorious night under the big tent. Dancing the night away.
