Tasting by oenologist Eric Boissenot. A wonderful ruby color, deep and shining. The fine sense of smell gradually discovers spicy notes of cumin accompanied by the nuances of ripe red fruits. Ripe tannins are obviously tasted manifesting fully and mildly. Intense and rich substance is present. High quality tannins emphasize exquisite and complex harmony.

Aujourd’hui le domaine produit 150 000 bouteilles dont 50 % de château Livran cru bourgeois et 50 % de Sources de Livran. La vinification se fait en majorité en cuves bétons, avec quelques cuves inox. Les méthodes restent traditionnelles. Les effluents bénéficieront d’un nouveau procédé naturel et pratique de traitement des effluents viticoles et phytosanitaires. Un nouveau chai sortira de terre en 2016 sobre et esthétique, tant dans son aspect que dans son fonctionnement.

Commentaires de dégustation (Eric Boissenot Œnologue). Robe dense, rubis profond. Le nez légèrement vanillé côtoie des notes fraîches de fruits rouges très flatteurs. La bouche est ronde avec du volume et de l’opulente sans mollesse. Les tanins sont tout aussi souples et présents que fins et raffinés. La fin de bouche d’une belle longueur révèle un équilibre axé sur le plaisir et l’élégance. Une très belle bouteille, très agréable à déguster, destinée à un très bel avenir.
