We hike and help maintain Cumberland Trail. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Big Soddy Temp Bridge. After hearing a report that the temporary bridge over Big Soddy Creek had been washed away, Ava Navin, TC Varner, Carol Deakins, and Don Deakins hiked in to confirm. The entire bridge is gone with only a few pieces of rope and wire remaining. Looks like the trail runners will have a difficult time crossing Big Soddy Creek during their upcoming Up-Chuck trail race on November 8. Only rope and wire remain.
