Thursday, June 30, 2011. This for me is comfort food at its finest. Making pasta with friends bottle of wine = great time and fabulous food. So come on everybody. Chef Danie's Fresh Pasta Recipe. 3 1/2 c flour. 1/4 c extra virgin olive oil. Start on the highest setting and then work your way down to the thinnest setting. Then you can roll the dough through the fettuccine setting on the pasta roller and you have pasta. I hang my past on a nice pasta rack to dry but you can also cook it right from fresh.

If you have ever wanted to try a dish with rosemary, this is a really good one to start with. Remember that rosemary can be quite strong if over used but the hint of rosemary with bring an interest to almost any savory dish. Chef Danie's Shrimp and Sausage Jambalaya. 3T extra virgin olive oil. 1 med onion (chopped). 2 cloves garlic (chopped). 1 red bell pepper (chopped). 1 green bell pepper (chopped). 1 c chopped celery. 2 c jasmine rice. 1 large can tomato sauce. 1 can stewed tomatoes. 1 t crushed red pepper or Cajun seasoning. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 c Swanson chicken broth. 1 lb shrimp (size 21-25 - peeled and deveined but with the tails on).

Sunday, October 16, 2011. One of my favorite things to do with leftover bolognese sauce is to make a meat lasagna. When the fall weather starts to sneak in I dont mind cranking up the oven at home for a great comforting meal. The oven warming up the house and the smell of garlic and oregano coming from the oven will make them all come out to see what's for dinner. This recipe can be made also with marinara sauce and not the meat sauce for a vegetarian option. 3 1/2 c flour. 1/4 c extra virgin olive oil.

Saturday, December 21, 2013. What we have been up to. December is always a busy month. Matthew had his school play. He was an alligator elf and did great! I think he enjoys getting on stage and dancing. He never seems scared and looks like he has a good time. We took the kids to Christmas in the Oaks in New Orleans. We rode the train, carousel, and looked at all the lights. The boys had a blast! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Andrew had his 6 month check up. He is still doing amazing!

Saturday, June 22, 2013. Andrew Kirk Williston was born Tuesday, June 18 at 5:06 am. He weighed 6lbs 5ozs and 19 inches long. He was 5 weeks early, I wasn't due until July 20. The best way to describe him is perfect! We got his lung test back and it actually had gone down to 30. I was so upset and confused. I just knew he would be at 50 or close. I think my dr was ready to induce at that point because I was 5 days out with my water broken and dilated! He is still doing great! We love you Andrew! Proverbs...
