See What's Cookin'. May 14, 2015. 3/4 cup chopped onion. 2 ribs celery, chopped. 1 1/3 cups water. 8 cups sliced cooked potatoes. Fry bacon. Drain; reserve drippings. Cook onion and celery in drippings. Stir in flour slowly; add vinegar and water. Cook till thick. Add sugar, salt and pepper; simmer 10 minutes. Add potatoes and bacon. Heath through. Dash each marjoram, thyme and paprika, opt. Saute’ onion, peppers and celery in 2 tablespoons butter. Add to remaining ingredients and mix well. Shape into six 1-inch thick patties. See What's Cookin'. Hot and Spicy Burgers. June 11, 2015. 2 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup chopped onion. 1 Tbs chopped seeded jalapeno pepper. 1 tsp ground cumin. 1 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Combine all but last three ingredients. Shape into 8 patties. Fry or grill patties then top with cheese. Place tomato slice on the bottom half of the bun. Top with burger and other bun half.
