Today, while waiting for our driver to pick us up, we decided to venture into the streets opposite our office (they are slumps and shop houses). As we approach one of the "houses", the woman sitting outside started shouting "I dunno what.", for a moment, I thought: "****! Did we offend them? I'm living in Kigali. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. 2nd Day in Kigali. Second day, day breaks early in Rwanda (ends early too), this is about 6.30am in the morning. The view is breathtaking isn't it? They say Rwanda is a country of thousand hills, this explains right? We had breakfast at the hotel (only for 1 day, we are moving to the apartment later). Oh yes, that's me having a drumstick for breakfast! By the way, I'm wearing the same t-shirt, jeans and underwear since I touched down. :-(.

I'm living in Kigali. Thursday, September 18, 2008. Now, let's talk about our home. In Kigali, it is a decent service apartment, environment is okay, view is nice, and security is no problem. View on the outside. It is equipped with most of the things you need to make it home. This place does not have air-condition, no fan either! So, mosquitoes are a real menace. I'm living in Kigali. Sunday, September 14, 2008. Arrival day in Kigali. After 20 hours flying over continents and countries (Singapore - Dubai - Ethiopia - Rwanda), we finally touch down in Kigali, Rwanda on 13 September 2008, 12:00nn. That's not me in the picture (not so hunky), that's Chester, my only comrade for the next three months stint in Rwanda. I was told before the trip that we can expect a lot of walking in Rwanda, for a start, we have to walk from the plane to the airport! 2nd Day in Kigali.
