I took Labor Day Weekend as a chance to rest when it comes to working out. Therefore, I didn't workout on Friday, Saturday, Sunday OR Monday. It was a good rest because from Friday-Sunday I was sore from Thursday's workout. While I say I didn't work out those days, I did go on walks and tried to have active days of rest. Last Friday I got to meet one person I've been dying to meet since I was a young awkward, greasy-haired teenager, Rob Thomas. Closer to my goals than farther away. It just dawned on me today that I'm closer to my lowest weight in High School than farther away from it 2 years ago. In High School I got down to 145lbs. The smallest I had ever been at that time. I felt fantastic. I'm going to have to dig a photo up to show you. Like I said, during college and after, I gained a lot of weight. 240lbs was the highest. That seems insane to me. This week, I hit 189.5. This means, I'm only 14.5lbs away from my 175 goal I set.

Boot Camp, Bruises and Butter. We were outside this morning in boot camp and in order to keep the mist on my mat from making my hands slip, I did my workout on the concrete. This results in sore hands that look like this:. After boot camp, I went home and made a tasty breakfast as my reward. Egg Whites, Turkey Bacon and Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel toast. I found this new butter. I do have to say that I've been dragging all day today and I'm soooo glad it's Friday! I'm sleeping in tomorrow and watching movies.

I've always wanted to be a runner, but never could seem to do it. I've gotten up to about 5 minutes total of running at one time or another, but have never been consistent with it. This year, 2012, I think I'm going to give myself another shot at it. My goal is to give the Runner's World 8 week beginning runner's training program. Monday - Run 1 Min, Walk 2 Min - repeat 10x.
