Training to Learn and Learning to Train. Saturday, January 31, 2009. I have been fighting a lot of strains and injuries lately so starting Monday I am going to try and stay out of the weight room for the entire week. I havent taken more than 1 day off in a week since April of last year when I tore the biceps tendon. Hopefully this will do me some good. I am going to spend the week focusing on my running and restoration. Friday, January 30, 2009. 1/30/09 Back and Deads. 1/28/09 Arms and Deads. Overheard E...

The Unorthodox Method: December 2008

http://zcoulter.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Strongman, powerlifting, gymnastics, grip, olympic lifting, Kettlebells, and Old time strongman feats. Sunday, December 14, 2008. Awesome. Chris Rice puts on a grade A contest every year. If you want more info about the Gripmas Carol, let me know and I'll be happy to email you everything I know about how to get invovled and compete:D. It's just a super-easy 5/16x3/4" hand forged shoe that looks to be around the size of a St. Croix #1 or #2. Those legs got short quick! Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Onto the ...

Strongman, powerlifting, gymnastics, grip, olympic lifting, Kettlebells, and Old time strongman feats. Monday, June 22, 2009. 1st Annual Woodall Grip Challenge report. I think more than one person(myself included) was "off" that day. My numbers here compared to my training numbers are ridiculously low. I blame that on the incredible treatment myself, Steve and Durniat recieved from Rex's family. I became too complacent and too relaxed. the total lack of training had nothing to do with it. Andrew was ON a...

Strongman, powerlifting, gymnastics, grip, olympic lifting, Kettlebells, and Old time strongman feats. Monday, August 3, 2009. Don't worry, I wont be stupid about this. I'm serious about coming back 100%. Serious enough to exercise self-restraint if I have too, not something I'm used to. How are you brother? Please if you have the time can we talk horse shoes, been getting into that lately but need some advice on training, and difficulty of shoes. Is a st croix hand forged #3 a tough shoe BTW?

Strongman, powerlifting, gymnastics, grip, olympic lifting, Kettlebells, and Old time strongman feats. Friday, October 9, 2009. Getting back into Grip. My #1 strength goal right now is to break the hammer-to-face lever record at the Gripmas Carol. That means doing 23.51lbs or better. I feel I can do it, but I probably wont even win the event even if I do lift 23.51! Going to be an incredible group this year. I wish you all the best my friend! You are a true gentleman of strength! Strongman, powerlifting, gymnastics, grip, olympic lifting, Kettlebells, and Old time strongman feats. Friday, October 31, 2008. I finally did it. I bent my long-time goal shoe, the Kerckhaert #3 SSP. Adam Glass sent me 5 of these beasts last year and my best before this was taking one to 90 degrees. The crush actually got easier and easier for me despite the width of this shoe. Anyway, it's my toughest shoe bend to date and I'm positive I could've hearted it if given more than 5 minutes. All I did was:.

Strongman, powerlifting, gymnastics, grip, olympic lifting, Kettlebells, and Old time strongman feats. Friday, April 17, 2009. New squat idea. again. Did some squats today and decided to do some high reps. I didn't feel mentally ready to test my maximum reps with BW, so I did the next best thing: A 10x10 set with 205, 8lbs more than my BW. 205x15(tried for 20, but wasn't there mentally). Friday, April 10, 2009. 385x1(sumo with a belt). 315x5(1 rep was done thumbless and the rest were DO).

Sloppy 16lb sledge lever. This is not my best, but it's the best I could do while the camera was running. My elbow always hyperextends like that and I find it impossible to keep it straight under load. Thursday, January 8, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bend 5/16x8" FNL Grade 8 Bolt. Chi Sox

This is my blog for Sports Writing and Reporting. This blog will be focused on the Chicago White Sox. I have been a White Sox fan since the second grade. I am very passionate about the White Sox, unfortunately that passion quickly turns to frustration when they do not play well. This blog is for everyone, but I think White Sox fans will find it particularly interesting, enjoy! Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Iowa's International Wrestling Presence. The University of Iowa. White Sox Analysis

Sunday, May 28, 2006. Posted by Jeremy @ 7:39 PM. Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Immediately after the trade was announce, I read the amount of money sent from the D-Backs to the Sox in the trade rumored at $3 million (by the AP), $5 million (by the Chicago Tribune), and $8 million (by USA Today). Well the deal finally became official. When the Yankees shipped Vazquez to Arizona, they sent $9 million dollars in the trade. Here are the numbers for Brian Anderson, Jerry Owens, and Chris Young for 2005. ...

The Wizard of Ozzie. Musings of a teenage White Sox fan. And This Is Where It Ends. I always felt bad about not “officially” ending this blog. I sort of left it out to dry, with no conclusion, no farewell. My last post wasn’t even about a current White Sock, for crying out loud. But, I couldn’t think of any way to end it that would be fitting? I didn’t want my last post to be an angry rant. The hiring of Robin Ventura? Now, I know how to end this.
