Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Our first port after leaving Rome was Sicily. We went on a tour to see Mount Etna. It was a very scenic drive. Mount Etna is Europe's largest active volcano. Our tour took us to Silvestri Spent Craters. Chris and I climbed a nearby peak to get a better view of the crater. It was steep and slippery. You can see the crater behind me. We then hiked to the crater and walked around it. You can see people standing in the center of the crater. Taormina is a charming town. Very cute!

Mannuscripts

Sunday, July 20, 2014. New Mexico Road Trip. We were able to take a road trip this spring to visit Clark and Kjerstin in New Mexico. We split the drive up over a couple of days to keep us sane, and we were able to see lots of fun things on the way up and down. We also brought our car DVD player and lots of snacks! White Sands National Park is really close to Las Cruces, so we spent an afternoon there sledding down the sand dunes and playing around. The weather was really nice, so we didn't get too hot.
