God Found Us You: A Family Tale

http://chrisandlaurel.blogspot.com/2010/11/family-tale.html

Tuesday, November 2, 2010. November is National Adoption Month and I'm joining the Blog Hop over at Foster 2 Forever. By writing a little about our adoption story. But we decided to go ahead and start the process and if God didn't want us to adopt, the money wouldn't come and then we'd know. Our adoption process lasted a year and a half and brought us to our son 9 months ago. The money thing? We are still baffled at all of the miraculous ways God brought us every penny we needed (although sometimes not u...

God Found Us You: How to Survive a Foster Care Adoption

http://chrisandlaurel.blogspot.com/2012/08/how-to-survive-foster-care-adoption.html

Tuesday, August 14, 2012. How to Survive a Foster Care Adoption. I recently did a post on surviving an international adoption. So I figured I should write this post as well for all of you who are thinking about or in the middle of fost-adopt. I hope it helps. This goes for any type of adoption. Save all of your paperwork, all of your emails, everything, until you are finalized and have your adoption tax credit. You never know what you might need. 7 Have you heard of WIC. Is a big deal with fost-adopt&#46...

God Found Us You: Mother's Day and Expectations

http://chrisandlaurel.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day-and-expectations.html

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Mother's Day and Expectations. Mother's Day was a little different this year. My husband had to work all day and one of my sons was grounded to his room all day (except when we were celebrating). So most of the day was me hanging out on the couch with my other son. And then on Sunday morning, E woke up early to make me cinnamon sugar toast, which he brought me in bed with my coffee. Chris helped him, of course, but the whole thing was his idea and it was adorable. It made every o...

God Found Us You: Two Kinds of Guilt

http://chrisandlaurel.blogspot.com/2015/03/two-kinds-of-guilt.html

Thursday, March 26, 2015. Two Kinds of Guilt. When we wallow in guilt, remorse, and shame over real or imagined sins of the past we are disdaining God's gift of grace." - Brennan Manning The Ragamuffin Gospel. Guilt There's an unhealthy kind and there's a healthy kind. Do you know this? I do Until I forget. During this past year, as we were thinking and praying about adopting again. Side note: I realize I haven't "announced" on here that we are adopting again! Back to this post! Have you been there?

I Want To Bake You A Birthday Cake!: Where have I been?

http://iwanttobakeyouabirthdaycake.blogspot.com/2011/11/where-have-i-been.html

I Want To Bake You A Birthday Cake! Thursday, November 3, 2011. Where have I been? You may notice a trend during school semesters to see random posts spread out months apart. Where am I? Well, I am studying to be an elementary teacher with a full time workload. I am teaching two days a week at a local (and wonderful) elementary school in a kindergarten classroom with the best mentor teacher! She's made the experience so wonderful. I am living a very busy and fulfilling life! Only 4 weeks away! I made 12 ...

The Espinoza's: What a Year!...and some months :)

http://theespinozagirlz.blogspot.com/2011/10/what-yearand-some-months.html

Ramon, Tara, DK and Soy. Tuesday, October 4, 2011. And some months :). I don't even know where to begin. It's been over a year since my last post and I have a sinking guilt feeling in the pit of my stomach. Not because I haven't kept everyone updated (sorry to my religious followers) but because my kids will see that there's a missing year of their lives. Here, I will try to make up for it through photos and ramblings :). October 5, 2011 at 10:12 AM. October 5, 2011 at 9:23 PM. DK", Ramon and "Soy Soy".

The Espinoza's: July 2009

http://theespinozagirlz.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Ramon, Tara, DK and Soy. Sunday, July 26, 2009. So I'm sitting here Sunday afternoon while Sawyer naps. Ramon and Dakota left Saturday to go camping up at Edison with some friends from work. I opted out. Thought it would be nice for Daddy and "D" to have some father/daughter bonding. Dakota kept telling everyone, "I get to go camping.just daddy and me". Then there's the whole house buying/selling situation. Talk about STRESS! I have a feeling that the rest of 2009 will go by very quickly for us! Sawyer l...

The Feierbach 5: January 2012

http://feierbachfamily.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 21, 2012. I'm trying to find a crafty bone somewhere in this body! We've been a LITTLE crafty these last few days! I'll post later about my Pinterest inspired V-Day crafts, but here's our latest kids craft! Rocket Blasters (courtesy of Dad). 1) You'll need to plastic cups that are the same size (i.e. RED SOLO CUP). 2)Make 4, evenly spaced, half-inch snips in the rim of one cup. 3)Cut 2 rubber bands, knot them, and place them in the slits, so they are just taut. The Espinoza's: September 2009

http://theespinozagirlz.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Ramon, Tara, DK and Soy. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Maybe it's my lack of patience or creativity, I don't know. But I can't seem to figure these darn BENDAROOS out! So I suggest getting rid of the inventors ideas before your child has you trying to do them and let them make up their own creation! Monday, September 21, 2009. Letting kids be kids! My response, "Ewww, no! So like my title says, let kids be kids. I'm trying to relinquish control of the things that don't really matter! Labor Day, Birthday a...

God Found Us You

Monday, January 25, 2016. I've been learning to trust God more, friends. For over a year now, I've been practicing this little discipline I read about somewhere: when I start to worry or feel stressed, I say out loud, "I trust You, Jesus." It's been so good for my soul and my heart and my mind. Stop the worry and just say, "I trust You, Jesus.". Try it. Whatever it is that is weighing on you, whisper that little prayer over it. This adoption journey is requiring me to trust Jesus a lot! Here's a quick up...

Robins and Ruth

Wednesday, November 18. The birth of Scotlynn Michelle. In all fairness, Scottis birth story started way before we were even pregnant with her. So let me back track. So the thought of getting pregnant again really rattled me. It brought back all those anxious feelings I had been working so hard to dispel. After what seemed like dozens of pep talks from Chris, I finally felt somewhat ready to start trying for another baby. So I basically had two options. A) If I wanted a VBAC, it was going to have to ...
