Friday, February 8, 2008. Reading and Writing Connections Made in Tuesday Experience. I was shocked that I was not told they should be able to elaborate, explain, or add details, as well as the three parts of the formula. February 12, 2008 at 6:45 PM. February 13, 2008 at 7:40 PM. Barbara's Blog: Lions, and Tigers, and Bears...
http://luckyduckliteracy.blogspot.com/2008/03/lions-and-tigers-and-bears.html
Tuesday, March 18, 2008. Lions, and Tigers, and Bears. Ok, so I didn't see lions and tigers, but I did see bears this weekend! I started my break by visiting the National Zoo in Washington D.C. It was an amazing experience! There was so much to see and do! I just wish I had more time to spend at the zoo. When I think of the zoo, the first thing I think of is animals, never the written word. There was writing everywhere! March 26, 2008 at 10:13 AM. Museums and zoo's are really wonderful places for student...

Alicia's circle: Journal Writing
http://aliciascircle.blogspot.com/2008/02/journal-writing.html
Thursday, February 28, 2008. Teachers can evaluate journals by giving students one point for every entry made. Teachers want to remember that someof students writing may be personal and can be indicated by students writing read me at the top of an entry or by writing private. Teachers can incoperate this into their instructional programs by allowing students to write to an author that they have read about or to allow students to write business letters to ask questions to further their understanding.

Sarah's Thoughts: What Can a Blog Be Used For?
http://sjcteacherexperience.blogspot.com/2008/02/what-can-blog-be-used-for.html
Wednesday, February 27, 2008. What Can a Blog Be Used For? February 27, 2008 at 3:11 PM. I am glad that you have been able to see a smart board in action! Maybe you will have to teach me how to use one because I do not have one in my classroom at whiting lane. I am sure by the time we are teachers there will be one in every classroom! Fortunately, I love technology and I love learning how new things work. March 2, 2008 at 7:20 PM. March 5, 2008 at 11:12 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Barbara's Blog: March 2008
http://luckyduckliteracy.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 31, 2008. I always hated poetry! When a teacher said "poetry unit," it meant "Barbara is going to get a very poor grade." I do not remember learning anything about poetry until late middle school, at which point I was told my poems were not creative enough. How can someone else judge my creativity? Has the student experimented with the poetic form presented in the minilesson? Has the student used the process approach in writing, revising, and editing the poem? Wednesday, March 26, 2008.

Barbara's Blog: Personal Writing
http://luckyduckliteracy.blogspot.com/2008/03/personal-writing.html
Sunday, March 9, 2008. The chapter on personal writing was very interesting. Right in the beginning, the authors asked the question, "Should teachers provide topics for reading log entries? I completed a mini lesson on writes block the other in my class and the students now have six ideas about what to do when they are not able to think about what they write to write about. Do you feel that this would be helpful to your students? March 27, 2008 at 12:51 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
