I've been meaning to post an "offical" 3 year old update for Naomi since I took her for her check-up a couple weeks ago. So here's what Naomi is like these days. This was her first time to stand on the big scale! Height: 40" (97%) - Dr. said she's as tall as most 4.5 year olds! Weight: 34.25lbs (82%). We had quite a trek to get our pumpkins and Daddy was working, but Naomi really enjoyed the hay ride with her friends.. Fun at the zoo! Everything was decorated for "Boo at the Zoo" even though we went during the day. Our poor pumpkin, "Timmy" unfortunately was eaten by slugs and we had to throw him away before Halloween. I've tried a few pumpkin pancake recipes, but this one from one of my friends at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is my favorite. It's a little more time consuming than what I like to cook these days, but well worth it. I usually double the recipe and freeze them for a quick breakfast. 1 cup pumpkin puree (1/2 of 15 oz can). 2 T white vinegar. 1/4 cup brown sugar.
