Warhammer Fantasy | Chris Wraight

Chris Wraight has done it again as far as I’m concerned. Has everything in it that made. Such gripping and compelling reads. […] Whether it’s Rickard’s quest for redemption through fanaticism, Mila constantly testing her own boundaries or Huss himself; all bases are very much covered here. The result is a work that is at times very stirring as people push themselves to the absolute limit and will not back down. Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review. Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review. Catching up… | Chris Wraight

27 October, 2013. Quiet around here over the past few months. That’s entirely due to being busy with a whole swathe of projects, most of which are nearing the end now. The serialised run of. Is now over, which has been a really fascinating experience. Thanks to all who enjoyed it and got in touch here or on Twitter. Snuck out somewhere amid all the White Scars hoo-hah, and is now available for sale. That’s Part II of the War of Vengeance series that I’m writing with Nick Kyme. 28 October, 2013 at 05:39.
The Wulfen | Chris Wraight
https://chriswraight.wordpress.com/2013/03/13/the-wulfen
13 March, 2013. Anyone early-adopter who’s got to the end of. Will notice a couple of adverts for more Space Wolfy (and. Y) things right at the back. One of these is Wulfen. A short story featuring… well, probably best to read it before making your mind up on what it features, but the title is a fairly strong hint. Battle of the Fang. Page – to anyone who gives it a try, hope you enjoy the read! 14 March, 2013 at 16:40. BL page says it’s a series? Is the Wulfen thing in the ebook version? I hope there...
Warhammer 40K | Chris Wraight
https://chriswraight.wordpress.com/warhammer-40k
Is the best Space Wolf story I’ve read since [Dan] Abnett’s masterful. Battle of the Fang. Set a thousand years after the Heresy, explored (as a sub-plot) the consequences of their genetic degeneration in the absence of their primarch. Have you ever read something so good that you can taste it? Is not a happy book, it’s not an easy read. It is however an excellent book and one that makes me wish for more from Chris Wraight. I picked up this book solely on the merit of. Battle for the Fang. Since I first ...

Books, Music, Movies). Interviews and Guest Posts. Posts tagged Alastair Reynolds. February 8, 2017. February 8, 2017. The year’s flood of interesting new and upcoming releases continues! Most of these are high on my must-read (mental) list. Some of these are also not out for a very long time, so reviews won’t appear for a few months. Nevertheless, worth mentioning to whet others’ appetites for the year ahead’s biblio-offerings…. Continue reading →. Upcoming in 2017… Gollancz & Orion. January 10, 2017.

The EmBot: August 2013
http://the-em-bot.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, 31 August 2013. For the second episode in a row, the Doctor is trying it on with a new woman. Despite losing Rose, and having being rebuffed by Donna, he immediately sees something he likes about Martha Jones. He's indefatigable. This is the best series opener so far. More ambitious than Rose. More accomplished than New Earth. It has key advantages over both of them. Unlike Rose. The audience is fully acquainted with the show and completely comfortable with the Doctor. Unlike New Earth. Maybe w...

Friday, 22 November 2013. The Name of the Doctor. Immediately this feels like something very special indeed. Still months (or hours) away from the 50th Anniversary, we are unexpectedly treated to a montage of previous Doctors, the highlight of which is seeing the First Doctor in the process of stealing himself a TARDIS. The significance couldn't be clearer: this is a story that started, as the caption reminds us, a very long time ago. When we started re-watching these new episodes with Rose. Jenny's fear...

Phil's Random Musings: Games Day 2011
http://philsrandommusings.blogspot.com/2011/09/games-day-2011.html
Blogging about anything that interests or inspires me. Monday, 26 September 2011. So, here I sit at the keyboard absolutely knackered after UK Games Day 2011. Part of the exhaustion was due to my decision to drive there with a couple of friends rather than take the shop coach and face the awful traffic after a long day. Overall I had a great day and had the opportunity to chat with many of the authors including three I'd never had the chance to speak to in person. Sarah Cawkwell. My abiding impression of...

Sunday, 5 May 2013. And My Bird Can Sing. For a few weeks now there has been a bird sitting in the tree in my garden. It is visually unremarkable - brown, medium-sized - but it makes the most incredible noise, whistling and shouting for hours at a time. It's not birdsong so much as a weird incongruous collection of sounds, a sort of Space Invaders Tourettes: it seems compelled to pour forth, incessantly. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I do sometimes write posts about. And My Bird Can Sing.

Some very belated replies…. 12 November, 2016. Just a quick post, as I’ve neglected this blog for far too long. I discovered when I fired up WordPress in a rare lull between frantically writing books that I’d left some questions unanswered for almost. In the meantime, my twitter account (@wraightc) gets updates, so it’s not entirely dormant online. I’ll be at BL Live 2016 by videolink (sadly, I can’t make it in person), and hope to get to some more events next year. 27 October, 2013. To say so. For a...
