Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout

Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout. Friday, 15 November 2013. There's Nothing You Can Know That Isn't Known. Thursday, 3 May 2012. Sorry this is a fragment. It's an old unfinished post I found in my drafts. Thought I would hit publish simply to record the thoughts. My way of trying. And it's hard too; shooting in the dark and not knowing whether it will lead anywhere but the same start sign. Not knowing whether I am doing something fundamentally wrong or just refining my act. Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout: March 2011

http://www.chroniclesofacorporatedropout.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout. Thursday, 10 March 2011. My Heart Is Afraid That It Will Have To Suffer. Is one of those books that makes me want to tell everyone in the world how much I love it, even though it hardly needs any more publicity and if anything is dangerously over-hyped. One thing I will refrain from doing is writing a long blog post about how life-changing and amazing it is. there are plenty of those already and I'm sure you can make up your own minds. Wednesday, 9 March 2011. This is g...

Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout: February 2011

http://www.chroniclesofacorporatedropout.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout. Wednesday, 23 February 2011. I wish Columbia would stop sending me emails about the interesting things their students are doing. I wish I had said this or that in my application. I wish I could stop dreaming, and aiming for things outside of my reach. Actually I don't wish that last one at all. Thursday, 17 February 2011. So many different emotions, thoughts and flashbacks have been reeling through my mind, and I am still so far away from achieving any kind of coherence.

Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout. Thursday, 3 May 2012. Sorry this is a fragment. It's an old unfinished post I found in my drafts. Thought I would hit publish simply to record the thoughts. Various external issues at work have hindered my development there and everything just feels too difficult these days. I feel as though I am constantly starting again and really need to take a leap forward. And yet, lack of progress is not for want of trying. the constant starting again is. Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout: "Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better"

http://www.chroniclesofacorporatedropout.blogspot.com/2011/05/try-again-fail-again-fail-better.html

Chronicles of a Corporate Dropout. Monday, 16 May 2011. Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better". I'm trying very hard to remember the wise words of Irish playwright Samuel Beckett. The whole Columbia thing is just too hard. It's too much money. I've missed too many scholarship deadlines. I can't imagine a situation where I'll be able to get the funding together and I can't apply for something I can't imagine. So I am trying. Trying very hard to try again. Thoughts of a wandering mind. Just lots of thoughts that enter my mind. Laquo; Never again he said. Oh. My latest views on social media. A song for a sale. May 4, 2010 by Geoff Pedder. Maybe it’s just unfortunate timing, but I can’t seem to turn the TV on nowadays without seeing or hearing an advert that includes a despicably rehashed pop song:. I don’t like having to mute my TV each time one of these ad-jingles comes on, or turn over channels for a minute to get away from it. And it’s not just the t...

Thoughts of a wandering mind. Just lots of thoughts that enter my mind. Laquo; A Gray day for some. Not me. January 31, 2011 by Geoff Pedder. Today I had a short discussion with a colleague which I found quite amusing, and as we have quite a few of these I wanted to put it down on paper. But I figured I’d misplace that eventually so would put it on here instead. We’d just watched the new Old Spice advert on YouTube – you know the one: Look at me, now look at your man, now back at me. KS: Yeah but in the ...

Thoughts of a wandering mind. Just lots of thoughts that enter my mind. Laquo; Marathon update: Nearly there. A song for a sale. Never again he said. Oh. April 28, 2010 by Geoff Pedder. I’d gone out for a small 3 mile run on Friday and I felt good, strong, and whilst my ITB was there still, I was sure that was more from the effect of the cortisone injection, so didn’t worry me too much. Saturday evening was chilled, and I felt good and very calm. So, what do I remember? I was expecting Tower Hill to be a...

Thoughts of a wandering mind. Just lots of thoughts that enter my mind. Laquo; A short one. A Gray day for some. Not me. January 25, 2011 by Geoff Pedder. Well, I figured it was about time to update this blog that I keep promising to add to more frequently in each post despite never actually managing to achieve that goal. But given the wonderful news that SkySports delivered today, it’s time. For them to not have such discussions? I’m not a huge advocate of the ever-growing politically-correct soci...

Thoughts of a wandering mind. Just lots of thoughts that enter my mind. Laquo; A song for a sale. My latest views on social media. June 1, 2010 by Geoff Pedder. Here’s a statement I’ve heard more than a few times recently:. Everyone’s talking about social media. Now, many of you will say But everyone’s on Facebook now, so every company needs a presence on there in order for people to find them , to which I would answer: Yes, but no. The second part to this is that you may have noticed I’ve been referring...

chronicles of a confused Kenyan

Chronicles of a confused Kenyan. Life for a Kenyan in Uganda can be quite boring, uneventful, mundane or otherwise befret of interesting adjectives to describe it only if you live under a disproportionately large rock. Friday, March 16, 2012. Sunday, February 15, 2009. Some time ago, Baz wrote a brilliant blog on editor-writer wars. The reason for this is, of course, what editors do. They EDIT, and by doing that, transform whatever magic you may have thought you've woven into something else. Anyway, When...

The Cosmonut Strikes Back | Emma Goldman's materialistic lovechild

The Cosmonut Strikes Back. Emma Goldman's materialistic lovechild. My beer is taunting me. June 10, 2011. I bought myself a sixer of Magic Hat No. 9 yesterday, and I discovered that the bottlecaps include little phrases on them. My first one said. 8220;You need to write more”. 8220;Heed the Spirit. If You can Hear It”. 8220;Don’t hex what’s best”. My personal favorite read. 8220;You were expecting something funny? It’s nice to see an alcoholic beverage sarcastically tell me to improve myself. Chronicles of a Country Chick

Thursday, June 13, 2013. The birds are Eastern Phoebes and there are four babies in the nest. I read that phoebes like to build nests under building overhangs, but maybe she felt a kindred spirit with the hens because the nesting boxes are right on the other side of the corner she chose to build her nest. Momma bird is usually close by and doesn't seem to mind me peeking in as long as I don't get too close! It's a little hard to tell in the picture but there is a little bird peeking out! The babies final...

Chronicles of a Country Girl

Weekly Dose of George. Sunday, February 4, 2018. So I lie to make excuses. No, I don't. It's just that I can't get this song out of my head. The lyrics have nothing to do with me. (I don't lie to make excuses and I don't tend to blame everybody else). But it's a cool tune and right now, this is my current favorite station on Pandora. It's by Susie Suh and there's a link to the song at the end of this post. Because I like to share. Then a Tufted titmouse came along and shooed him away. Mine Mine. Mine.
