Common ground | Churningthewordmill
https://churningthewordmill.wordpress.com/2015/03/04/common-ground
Skip to primary content. March 4, 2015. We come from different background. So different, in fact, that we came to this marriage with very little in common. Our personalities, hobbies, food habits, approach to life situations, temperaments, communication styles…… were all very different. The only common thread in our dissimilar lives was our interest in amateur photography and the fact that we worked in the same organization. What a delightful surprise! Birds in and around Delhi. Yellow footed green pigeon.

Skip to primary content. Presenting Frozen in frames. 8211; an ambitious plan to capture everyday life on camera for one whole year. That’s 365 pictures in 2012. Going by the past record, its highly improbable that I’ll make the target ( the consistency on this blog has been anything but good), but I am guessing if I even make it half way to the 365 mark, it’ll be good enough. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. The house that was. January 7, 2016. For two years we called it our home. A badly constructed and ill-maintained DDA flat that we lovingly turned into a warm and livable space. Ideas and the spouse pitched in too. Of course, he couldn’t fathom why we needed anything other than what we had moved in with and we had countless “discussions” on this! As time ticks on. Neatly made bed meet haphazardly laid pillows. Mirror, mirror on the wall. We packed up our...

Skip to primary content. December 9, 2014. This marriage turned one in November. An achievement that deserved a post. A post that was written and the promptly lost (irretrievably) somewhere in the new WordPress system. I wish to make a note of this milestone and thats the only reason I am back at my desk. The past year was a roller coaster ride for me. It involved mo ving in and moving out of homes. Settled in completely yet, but compared to November 2013, I can safely say I am doing well. :). Title Intentionally Left Bank. I Don't Hate.I Intensely Dislike. I intensely dislike the following kind of people:. Those who are constantly whining about their life, their boyfriend, their boss, their job - basically, just about anything. An attempt to unravel my thoughts. April 29, 2011. The Team at Little Readers' Nook. Regular readers, please do excuse the last post. Let’s just say, after weeks of self-control, I found it impossible to resist this opportunity to be naughty staring me right in the face. And now, let’s leave it at that, shall we? How the mighty have fallen! Okay, I am exaggerating. My gift is a surprise, so I have no idea how tiny (or huge) it is. And guess whose pictures the SLR will end up capturing? We are waiting to ...

An attempt to unravel my thoughts. December 28, 2011. The Team at Little Readers' Nook. How does one begin? Apologies for the long unannounced absence? But after a point, repeated apologies seem meaningless, don’t they? So let me begin as if it’s business as usual instead. Our families, however, were unanimously happy. And not to get in to too many details, but thanks to their blessings and efforts, we were fortunate enough to set up home in one of the nicest areas of Mumbai, even if I say so myself&...

Thursday, November 18, 2004. Some thoughts that could show connection between Gyan and astrology/numerology:. The law of karma is one of the prime movers of the world. Souls and matter interact based on this law. Souls are pro-active and reactive while matter is only reactive in nature. Empirically, it should be possible to detect patterns in numbers/planets and match them with existing events and show a relationship. This implies that prediction of events is possible. Sunday, March 1, 2015. Doubt and anger burst as I snapped my paintbrush in half. That act of artistic passion left me with a palm full of blood, a lot of questions and an unfinished painting. After more contemplation and prayers, I read John 19, 26-28 again. I thought about how these scriptures testify to me of Christ's tenderness and compassion. I love that he didn't overlook his mother despite the pain and anguish that He suffered. The first few days of painting went well. I started with more than ...
