Ciào Bailey

Saturday, September 26, 2009. I've got a golden bici! Pronounced "bee-chee," short for bicicletta or BIKE! It's solid gold and very sassy, if I do say so myself. I used to bike in NYC alot, so I'm happy to have a one here as well. Except all the cobble stone makes for quite the bumpy ride. Every Italian has one and it's a wonderful way to get around and see the city. On a golden chariot, even! Pictures coming soon, my digital camera isn't working. Thanks for keeping up! Ciào Bailey: Boh!

http://www.ciaobailey.blogspot.com/2009/09/boh.html

Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Picked up a copy of the newspaper "The Florentine" a couple days ago and found a particular little encouraging blurb:. Also, I bought a guitar. It's pretty and red and I am experiencing the wonderful pain and pleasure of redeveloping my callouses. And I got a haircut! By a very nice Moroccan man. Rainstorms all week, but makes for great puddle jumping! So many chemicals, so many machines, so many negatives. So much happy. To my knowledge, I haven't made any Italians mad yet.

Ciào Bailey: August 2009

http://www.ciaobailey.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 29, 2009. I left August 18th for Amsterdam, arrived the 19th and had a wonderful few days with Grayson, Eric, and Evan wandering about the city. What a gorgeous place! Canals, bicycles, beautiful people! I had some of the best food I've ever eaten. It was a very nice introduction to Europe. Grayson and I continued on to Bruges, Belgium (yes, like the movie In Bruges) and had a wonderful time in a beautiful place. The city has so much character and history - really charming! Except for th...

Evan's Historical Fantasy World: 2009-09-13

http://historicalfantasyworld.blogspot.com/2009_09_13_archive.html

Evan's Historical Fantasy World. Saturday, September 19, 2009. My Life in France. I just started My Life in France. By Julia Child. I took my bike and book to the Luxembourg Gardens, because it is a beautiful day. This is the description of her first meal in France:. And it is reminding me so much of my dream to cook, to learn true French cooking. Man, I feel like Julie Powell right now. But I think I must put off seeing Julie/Julia until I am done reading this. Evan's Historical Fantasy World: Secret Pleasure

http://historicalfantasyworld.blogspot.com/2009/11/secret-pleasure.html

Evan's Historical Fantasy World. Saturday, November 14, 2009. I have this one hair in my left nostril that grows so fast and after while starts to tickle me. All of my nose hairs are a light color except for this one. Every two months it grows out enough for me to pluck it out of there, WHICH I LOVE. Secret revealed. Too much? http://historicalfantasyworld.blogspot.com/2009_11_22_archive.html

Evan's Historical Fantasy World. Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Lists Are Easy To Read. This is a list of things that I currently miss from NYC (besides the obvious people):. Dryers (my clothes are hanging off of me). Grilled Cheese made with Kraft Singles. Harlem (Convent and 148th). These are things I am assuming I will miss when I leave Paris (besides the obvious beauty, food and wine):. Children in Colored Glasses. Short Metro Stops (plus they tell you how long until the train comes). Ample Use of Fur.

Evan's Historical Fantasy World: I'm Back. And I'm in Marseilles.

Evan's Historical Fantasy World. Saturday, November 14, 2009. I'm Back. And I'm in Marseilles. I was running, sweating, errand-ing before I left. From class to pick up my newly-fixed computer, home to pack and shower and then I just HAD TO have drinks with a few friends before I hopped on the train. My information on the computer was somehow not lost, which they told me it would be. I love you . But wait, there is more. Posted with you in mind by VanWatz. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Evan's Historical Fantasy World: The Hermetic Closure of Coffins

http://historicalfantasyworld.blogspot.com/2009/12/hermetic-closure-of-coffins.html

Evan's Historical Fantasy World. Saturday, December 5, 2009. The Hermetic Closure of Coffins. So for the last week or so I have been obsessing over Napoleon. Yes, it is a constant in my life to love the man, but every once in a while I get a little more focused. Sophomore year it was his exile and time in St. Helena that fascinated me, then I was into his childhood and time at school, and now, his tomb. The best part about the article is that it starts out "In the lives of saints it is often stated that ...

http://historicalfantasyworld.blogspot.com/2009_10_18_archive.html

Evan's Historical Fantasy World. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Now I am going to tell you something I love. It's those little moments of re. Realization in life. Those things that are wonderful but that happen just. Often enough to forget about them in between experiencing them (and with my memory this happens quite frequently). But these are my latest re-realizations:. And this is amazing because every year. But then, that first day of cold hits and I re-love it. It smells so good! The air tastes different!

Evan's Historical Fantasy World: Wine in Baby Bottles and Fondue

http://historicalfantasyworld.blogspot.com/2009/10/wine-in-baby-bottles-and-fondue.html

Evan's Historical Fantasy World. Saturday, October 31, 2009. Wine in Baby Bottles and Fondue. This post is about exactly what it sounds like. A fondue restaurant where the wine is served in baby bottles. Anyway it was an beautiful day full of education for fun (always an easier way to learn) and about 6:30 we made our way back on the train, with plans of going to the fondue and baby bottle restaurant. The food was not great, I mean it was basic meat and cheese fondue. Fondue is always about the exper...
