Victory and Peace: Up and Running
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2012/03/up-and-running.html
Wednesday, March 14, 2012. I forgot to let you all know that my machine is up and running again. I actually got it back very quickly from the shop (only one day! It seized up because the last place that serviced it oiled it instead of greasing it apparently. Anyways, it now runs way better than it did even after the last time it was serviced. The tension is just perfect as well! Oh, and Carla. Cynthia is a fabulous artist and designer. I won a Spoonflower print from her awhile back and I love seeing ...

twentyfour Heather: Keep Calm and Carry On
http://heatherisblogging.blogspot.com/2012/01/keep-calm-and-carry-on.html
Hi This is me a 30 year old, new momma to my precious baby boy, and Vancouverite. Sunday, January 22, 2012. Keep Calm and Carry On. Oh these two only 4 months apart. It was so cute when we were over for our visit my little niece was waving at Hugo for him to come over and play with her. She crawls circles around him and tries to feed him little people! I just love seeing them growing up together. I love spending time with my sister in law too! She is just plain and simple Super Mom! Hugo has really start...

Victory and Peace: Grandma's Quilt
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2011/10/grandmas-quilt.html
Saturday, October 22, 2011. I finished sewing Grandma's quilt up last weekend and sent it off to her on Monday. She received it Friday and is so thrilled with it. She says that it matches her decor perfectly. I am so happy that she loves it, because by the time that I was finished with it, I wanted to keep it for myself. She suggested adding in a strip instead. So I did, and I really liked the way it turned out. I better go get going on my next quilt! I have a long list of quilts to make. Keep Up To Date.

Victory and Peace: Apricot Jam
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2009/08/apricot-jam.html
Friday, August 14, 2009. Yesterday I made some delicious apricot jam. My friend Lillie brought over some apricots that she picked from a neighbour's tree. She didn't have time to use them up, what with family reunions and packing to move. They were so small and delicious! I had to quickly make them into jam before you-know-who ate them all up. He already had eaten 14 since the day before. It doesn't matter if you say that he will enjoy the end product even more. I found a fantastic recipe online. I adore...

Victory and Peace: Bee Quilt
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2011/08/bee-quilt.html
Saturday, August 6, 2011. I finished up this quilt at the beginning of July and gifted it almost immediately. It went to some friends who were in need of some encouragement during a difficult period in their lives. I made the quilt with some blocks from my two online quilting bees ( Circuit Block Party. And The Maple Leaf Bee. On Flickr that had a block I loved, so I decided to make my 4 blocks with it. For the double borders I decided to try a new free motion quilting design. It shows up best in thi...

Victory and Peace: Doll Quilt Swap
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2012/04/doll-quilt-swap.html
Tuesday, April 10, 2012. I managed to finish up my doll quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap 12 on Flickr. I am so thrilled with the results. It was rather difficult to send it off after all that work! I have always maintained that I hate foundation paper piecing, but I thought that I would try it again with some special paper. I found that the paper made a good difference, and I think that my machine being serviced and the tension being so much better helped out a great deal as well. I am still waiting to rece...

Our Family Stone: A house full of Turkeys
http://ourfamilystone.blogspot.com/2010/10/house-full-of-turkeys.html
The story of 2 Stones and 2 Pebbles. Tuesday, October 12, 2010. A house full of Turkeys. A father-in law, a mother in-law and an almost father in-law (they were married a month after we were). Not to mention all the aunts, uncles and cousins who call Corey family. It wasn't all cavities and root canals either, but the past 5 years have seen their share of tense moments, laughter and conversation. We've had babies arrive, more marriages and life changes, and through it all we've been trying to find th...

Our Family Stone: Salvage Giveaway!
http://ourfamilystone.blogspot.com/2010/11/salvage-giveaway.html
The story of 2 Stones and 2 Pebbles. Monday, November 1, 2010. I also spend countless hours with my girls creating, making and sharing. I want them to learn as I have the gift of giving a handmade gift. I also want to teach them the value of receiving something made with love. It's a full circle sort of thing. I have yet to visit her shop, but she's created a blog. And seeing all her treasures is a pretty sweet deal! That's what you could win! Ps, I totally snagged this shot from her blog). So why not go...
