Victory and Peace: Up and Running
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2012/03/up-and-running.html
Wednesday, March 14, 2012. I forgot to let you all know that my machine is up and running again. I actually got it back very quickly from the shop (only one day! It seized up because the last place that serviced it oiled it instead of greasing it apparently. Anyways, it now runs way better than it did even after the last time it was serviced. The tension is just perfect as well! Oh, and Carla. Cynthia is a fabulous artist and designer. I won a Spoonflower print from her awhile back and I love seeing ...

See Ya Tuesday: Depression is my Friend
http://kristanellsworth.blogspot.com/2013/09/depression-is-my-friend.html
Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Depression is my Friend. I live with depression. When I am depressed, I am not myself. I do things that I think are normal, and they aren't. Not even close. And then, I get more depressed. It's an ugly, vicious circle, and the adversary and I tumble, a lot. There is an article in the September/October LDS Living that lists things NOT to say to a depressed loved one. One of the suggestions is "Don't say: 'Let. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Victory and Peace: Grandma's Quilt
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2011/10/grandmas-quilt.html
Saturday, October 22, 2011. I finished sewing Grandma's quilt up last weekend and sent it off to her on Monday. She received it Friday and is so thrilled with it. She says that it matches her decor perfectly. I am so happy that she loves it, because by the time that I was finished with it, I wanted to keep it for myself. She suggested adding in a strip instead. So I did, and I really liked the way it turned out. I better go get going on my next quilt! I have a long list of quilts to make. Keep Up To Date.

Victory and Peace: Apricot Jam
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2009/08/apricot-jam.html
Friday, August 14, 2009. Yesterday I made some delicious apricot jam. My friend Lillie brought over some apricots that she picked from a neighbour's tree. She didn't have time to use them up, what with family reunions and packing to move. They were so small and delicious! I had to quickly make them into jam before you-know-who ate them all up. He already had eaten 14 since the day before. It doesn't matter if you say that he will enjoy the end product even more. I found a fantastic recipe online. I adore...

Victory and Peace: Bee Quilt
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2011/08/bee-quilt.html
Saturday, August 6, 2011. I finished up this quilt at the beginning of July and gifted it almost immediately. It went to some friends who were in need of some encouragement during a difficult period in their lives. I made the quilt with some blocks from my two online quilting bees ( Circuit Block Party. And The Maple Leaf Bee. On Flickr that had a block I loved, so I decided to make my 4 blocks with it. For the double borders I decided to try a new free motion quilting design. It shows up best in thi...

Victory and Peace: Doll Quilt Swap
http://victoryandpeace.blogspot.com/2012/04/doll-quilt-swap.html
Tuesday, April 10, 2012. I managed to finish up my doll quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap 12 on Flickr. I am so thrilled with the results. It was rather difficult to send it off after all that work! I have always maintained that I hate foundation paper piecing, but I thought that I would try it again with some special paper. I found that the paper made a good difference, and I think that my machine being serviced and the tension being so much better helped out a great deal as well. I am still waiting to rece...

Pottery and Everything Else: May 2011
http://potteryandeverythingelse.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Pottery and Everything Else. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. This is the finish kaleidoscope quilt, with this pattern. From bee beautiful, for my Bee Addicted 2 online quilting bee. The quilting was done by a friend of mine: TL Kennedy Longarm Quilting. Tracy did a wonderful job maneuvering around those tough points where all the piecing met. We agreed to leave the kaleidoscope parts not quilted. Just quilting the white background really made that part pop out nicely. Monday, May 23, 2011. Our May block also uses...

Pottery and Everything Else. Monday, October 15, 2012. It has been awhile! I just wanted to let you all know I am loving mommy hood! This blog unfortunately is a casualty to this new found joy. BUT, I am actually getting back to my sewing and wanted to share with you all my progress on Little E's 2012 Halloween costume. Here is my sketch using the fabulous iPad application called Paper. He didn't state he wanted to be a robot exactly, but he has some jammies and a new sheet set. Before I stitched togethe...
