Stina's Blog: August 2007
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2007. A cruel aspect of the life of a college student who goes to school too far away to drive there. BOOKS These college people entice you to come to their institution to learn all these great things, and what do you accumulate? Lots and lots of books. Books you want to keep. But what the heck are you supposed to do with them? In other news: I had fun shadowing "Frau" Sherman at the high school. She has some really good German students! Now all that's leftis packing, packing and more...

A(nother) Year in Berlin: December 2008
http://stinaberlin2.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
A(nother) Year in Berlin. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. For about 5 years or so now I've always done some sort of "highlights of the last year" post where I list something for each month of the year as it comes to a close. I'm continuing the tradition, but for the first time ever, it will include some photos. :). Click on any picture to see it full-size. A(nother) Year in Berlin: And pictures from our field trip too...
http://stinaberlin2.blogspot.com/2009/05/and-pictures-from-our-field-trip-too.html
A(nother) Year in Berlin. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. And pictures from our field trip too. Someday I will write something about these trips. maybe. I'm totally out of the blogger rhythm. The 5th graders at my school (there are 3 5th-grade classes) got to go on a 5-day field trip about an hour and a half away, near Neuruppin (a small town on a lake). We had a blast. And I took tons of pictures because I love these kids. Klassenfahrt - 5th Grade Field Trip. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A(nother) Year in Berlin: September 2008
http://stinaberlin2.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
A(nother) Year in Berlin. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Pankefest, Chagall Exhibit, etc. (more pictures). Two weeks ago we had a big festival in Pankow, Pankefest. Click here for Pankefest/Chagall pictures. Other than that, life has been pretty "normal" - but certainly not boring - here in Berlin! Is going great, I'm still totally in love with my students. My one struggle is with the teachers - a lot of them complain A LOT. And I'm a pretty positive person so that gets annoying pretty fast! First, I went...

A(nother) Year in Berlin: August 2008
http://stinaberlin2.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
A(nother) Year in Berlin. Saturday, August 23, 2008. Big bikes and screenless windows. This post probably couldn't be more different from the last one, but I just have to vent two minor frustrations that I come across pretty much every day here in Berlin. I took the bike anyway, but it was not very comfortable, especially when it came to stopping. Perhaps there is some obvious brilliant reason that I'm too dense to figure out, but in the meantime, I'm highly perplexed. And croissants and Kuchen. At h...

A(nother) Year in Berlin: June 2009
http://stinaberlin2.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
A(nother) Year in Berlin. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. It's really hard to believe that my second year in Berlin is almost over. The last few months have really flown by and have been filled with more mixed emotions than I can fully keep up with, but at this point the overwhelming one is: Wow, am I really about to leave this place behind again, and all these people that I care about so much? I wish I had started the year with clearer goals for what I wanted to accomplish. I didn't expect that church would bec...

A(nother) Year in Berlin: January 2009
http://stinaberlin2.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
A(nother) Year in Berlin. Saturday, January 24, 2009. Pause Long time no blog. So I haven't blogged in a long time. I don't know if I can say I didn't have time to, because technically I've had more time lately than usually, but somehow, I haven't had time to. This is wrong, but I'm stuck in it. I'm terrified of letting other people down - even when I know I wouldn't be. I'm terrified of not being the superhero who does everything. So what do I do about everything else? I'm consequently really trying to ...

Stina's Blog: April 2008
http://stinalo.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. A big piece of news: I got Fulbright! I'm really excited, but the waiting isn't over. I still have to find out where they're sending me! I can breathe a little easier, but it still ain't over. But I am really happy and thankful. God is good. He's going to send me somewhere perfect. Saturday, April 5, 2008. Why does waiting suck so much? I imagine the day was gray, the sun won't shine on days like this. On the day that the Son of God carried the cross to Golgotha. I can see the so...
