Friday, November 13, 2009. November 13, 2009 - First Snowfall. It was an interesting weather day today. I had taken Lucy out for her afternoon walk and it was nice and sunny, albeit a little chilly. I saw some black clouds in the distance, but that really isn't that unusual. Anyway we got home and maybe 5 minutes later I looked out the window and it was blizzard-like conditions. Saturday, October 31, 2009. October 31, 2009 - Halloween Day Hike in Peterson Creek. If you look closesly you can see a tree growing sidways out of a rock on the other side. The sun makes for some interesting shadows on the hills. I did actually scale up beside this waterfall. It's alot steaper than it looks. No really, it is. Nice sunny day when we started out. It did cloud over but I am happy to report the sun is out once again. Kind of neat fluffy bushes. I think they are Sagebrush. The camera ran out...

The mountain in the background was snow covered. A hint of things to come I think. The Thompson River is quite picturesque. But I have always been partial to water. Saturday, November 14, 2009. November 14, 2009 - Peterson Creek Winter Walk. A light dusting of snow on the ground, so we headed out to Peterson Creek. It is beginning to look alot like Christmas, although I would be surprised to see it stay. The air was crisp but I was a bit overdressed with my ski jacket. So these picture are the same as what I took previously in the nicer weather, but I just wanted to show the winter version. Some interesting plants and trees, alive and dead, and some maybe hibernating.
