http://clarafy.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
To leave the world a bit better. Monday, February 22, 2010. My role is somewhat unglamorous as it involves mostly sitting in front of a computer or answering the phone; yet it is a key component of registering the orphanages and in the short and long term establishing a system of monitoring the children that are housed there. Day to day my job includes data entry, data analysis, and mapping of orphanage locations. Thursday, February 18, 2010. When the rain comes. That even if our tarps fell down, we had ...

To leave the world a bit better. Thursday, May 21, 2009. The Map in My Head. I love maps. . I do . I love getting to see where places are, where I can go, how to get there, and imaging what it might look like. . When I was as young as 12 I was the designated navigator on car trips with my mother, the summer we drove form. I read the map. . I found the rest stops, hotels, and interesting little places to see. . I have had a map hanging on the way of my room since I was about the same age. . When I f...

CLARA FICATION: Land with No Trees
http://clarafy.blogspot.com/2010/03/land-with-no-trees.html
To leave the world a bit better. Thursday, March 11, 2010. Land with No Trees. There were three large oak trees in the yard of my childhood home. Trees that were easily more than 200 years old and more than 100 feet tall. The trunk was so big that I couldn’t wrap my arms around it and have my hands touch. I spent my childhood around trees, and I know what it is like to lay in the shadow of a tree and dreaming of the future. The trees were cut down for fire wood and to plant sugar cane. My grandparents wo...

CLARA FICATION: First day at Camp
http://clarafy.blogspot.com/2010/02/first-day-at-camp.html
To leave the world a bit better. Monday, February 15, 2010. First day at Camp. I was awoke at 5 AM by the sound of a cargo plane coming in for a landing at the airport, the first of many to come in today. The sun wasn’t up yet and the cool of the night made me pull my sleeping bag up. When I had fallen asleep last night I was exhausted and had barely noticed the noise, the lights, or the still warm temperatures. Some of the more long term staff have been moved to dorm style tents on another. I did get to...

To leave the world a bit better. Thursday, March 26, 2009. Wind, it is the invisible force that cools you on a hot day, makes the palm trees sway, and moves the sand across the. Desert. . Wind, it can be a destructive force in a hurricane or tornado, it can over time mold the land cape of a mountain, and it can take a boat around the world. . CLARA FICATION: July 2008
http://clarafy.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
To leave the world a bit better. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. The main themes of my non-written posts of the last month are:. 1) Packing, unpacking, and repacking. Yet the questions remain. How do you confirm a friendship without out it being strange? How do you express the kind of communication you that that you are going to have in the future without making anyone feel guilty if it doesn't work exactly like that? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
