Our Ceilidh gave us a great opportunity to communicate our literary and musical heritage to a guest from another country in Europe. Vesna , a young teacher from Slovenia has been working with the class and has been sharing her life in Slovenia with the children. The Slovenian flag was on display. Well done to James, Joe, Molly, Magnus and Abbie (missing from the picture) who took part in the Orkney Primary School Athletics on Thursday 26th May at the Pickaquoy Centre. Congratulations to Molly who won a gold medal in the high jump and cricket ball events. She was runner up overall in her 9-10 age group. Great stuff Molly! Details of points have just come through. Today at assembly they told us about where they are from and a litle bit about their lives back home. Did you know that Orkney would fit into Wisconsin 166 times? It was a celebration for the P3/4 class who have had a link with a school in Canada this year. The link was established through the canoe family who paddled the Spirit Dancer in Orkney last year.
