Red Heads Have More Fun! Sunday, January 13, 2013. I think we're feeling better? But, I suppose I am getting super excited about spring coming. I'm having grand visions of what my garden will look like and have been transplanting my raspberries to another location in the garden, since smack-dab right in the middle didn't really work for me. Tuesday, August 5, 2014. So, the spouse and kids are gone to visit family this week, and I'm left to work and try to function normally without them. I used to be fairly adept at functioning solo, but it seems I'm increasingly dependent on my family for my well-being. I spent most of Saturday at the movies and electronics stores. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Back to the future. We had a freak " derecho. Storm here last Friday night that took out power and phone (cell and landline) service for nearly 3 million homes and businesses. Crazy! Apparently a derecho is the next best thing to a hurricane, and the resulting power outage is the "biggest non-hurricane outage in our 100 year history," according to our power utility.
