The hotels laundry service is outrageously expensive- over $8 per pair of pants.  Catherine found us a laundry shop within walking distance so we dropped off 4 pairs of pants and one shirt at that place for the same price but it will take 4 days.  So, to cut down on expense and not being able to send everything out or wed have nothing to wear we did a bathtub load of laundry. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. My kids have this weird obsession with cemeteries; they would walk around cemeteries for hours if we let them. I suppose maybe. I created this obsession several years ago. If I would have known how excited they get when I say something like "I was looking on google maps and found a cemetery right in the middle of a neighborhood" I may not have encouraged the stop over. Dad, this guy was a general in the confederate army! Mom, this one is from the 1800's! One photo, every day.

No more fear, no more sadness, her anxiety of being abandoned is starting to diminish, she's speaking nearly fluent English, and she's even beginning to read! Wednesday, February 10, 2010. We went to the zoo today with our travel group.  Here is how the trip went:. Keep Claire from throwing up on the bus. Check out the super loud, squawking swans. Check out the big cat family who are in tiny concrete cages pacing back and forth.  Ugh. Leave the old, mean lady and head for the peacock- Claires favorite animal. Watch Claire run with excitement, trip and fall head first into the concrete. Find the first aid station which is behind a gate saying No admittance.
