March 11, 2015. Food, Faces, and a Blind Woman's Hands. One of the wats (temples, I believe) nearby had this clock on the lawn in front of it. I'd expected something much more out in the open and everything, but it ended up being a rather tree-filled, which restricted the angles I could take photos from a distance. Sunday, March 18, 2012. Springtime Garden and Woods. Pring came early this year. The daffodils were finished by the beginning of February. I have grand plans for my garden, as usual. Most of my plants didn't go dormant over the winter, because the weather never cooled down significantly. Some of the daisies persisted in blooming well into December. I like this kind especially because they remind me of growing crocuses when I was little, and of a favorite professor who always wore thinly striped shirts.

S Blog is powered by Textcube. 12월 24일 부터 연차를 몰아서 쓸 수 있을 것 같아 그 동안 미뤄오던 장거리 여행을 하게 되었습니다. 목적지는 터키. 마침 아시아나 직항편에 자리가 있길래 얼른 찜했습니다. 타고 갈 비행기입니다. 생각보다 작네요. 아타투르크 공항에서 지하철을 타고 악사라이까지 이동 후 유수프파샤 트램역까지 도보로 이동- 트램을 타고 술탄 아흐멧으로. 터키에 있을 때 국내선 항공편을 제외하고 거의 모든 대중 교통수단을 다 이용한 것 같습니다. 지하철, 트램, 시내버스, 고속버스, 배, 돌무쉬, 택시 . 제톤(2TL), 나중엔 교통카드로 다녔습니다. 지금 한번 정도 남았겠네요. 교통카드와 악빌은 의외로 파는 곳을 찾기 힘드니 미리 사두는 것이 좋습니다. 숙소는 블루모스크 뒷편에 잡았는데 옥상에서 마르마라 바다가 조금 보이는군요. 갈라타 다리에는 낚시하는 사람들이 엄청 많습니다. 물고기도 많이 잡히는 것 같구요. 성모 마리아가 말년을 보냈다는 집에도 갔었습니다.
