Syzygy of Worlds

Sunday, March 18, 2012. Springtime Garden and Woods. Pring came early this year. The daffodils were finished by the beginning of February. I have grand plans for my garden, as usual. Most of my plants didn't go dormant over the winter, because the weather never cooled down significantly. Some of the daisies persisted in blooming well into December. I like this kind especially because they remind me of growing crocuses when I was little, and of a favorite professor who always wore thinly striped shirts.

Syzygy of Worlds: April 2011

http://syzygyofworlds.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 28, 2011. Y garden has been blooming away steadily. We've gotten a lot of rain this spring, so everything is quite verdant. One of these days I need to fertilize the flowerbed, but I have to get some more weeds pulled, first. Here are a few pictures of what's been blooming, these past few weeks. Now for my actual flowerbed. A few years back, I was given some seeds for a columbine, and couldn't remember what I did with them. Apparently I planted them at some point, because it bloom...This ...

Syzygy of Worlds: June 2011

http://syzygyofworlds.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 18, 2011. Hungarian Cold Cherry Soup. Ere is one of my favorite things to eat. It's a cold Hungarian summer soup, and is not difficult to make. The hardest part is finding cherries. The recipe calls for two pounds of cherries. It can be just a little more or a little less; generally one bag from the grocery store is enough for this. It's such a lovely mauve color. Also, this picture doesn't fully capture how pretty it actually looks. In Hungarian, this soup can be called cseresznyeleves (c...

Syzygy of Worlds: How to Construct a Personal Dress Form

http://syzygyofworlds.blogspot.com/2011/08/how-to-construct-personal-dress-form.html

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. How to Construct a Personal Dress Form. Later, I came across an article on how to make decorative dress forms out of rusty chicken wire and got the idea to make one in my size, by the same general principle. Here's how I did it, for around ten dollars and a little over an hour. All right, now for photographs. And there you have it- an affordable dress form which can be made in any size and shape imaginable. Posted by Lady W. August 21, 2011 at 9:48 AM. This blog is not a work ...

Syzygy of Worlds: March 2011

http://syzygyofworlds.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 31, 2011. Hen I was applying for colleges, I had to write an essay about a fictional character who greatly influenced my life. I ended up submitting a very tame essay about Combeferre from. A young revolutionary who fights for what he believes in, but whose real tendencies are scholarly, preferring "illumination rather than conflagration.". That's not who I wanted to write about. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Out of reach of the world. The. Captain Nemo influenced me, not because he was s...

Syzygy of Worlds: Summer Garden

http://syzygyofworlds.blogspot.com/2011/07/summer-garden.html

Saturday, September 10, 2011. I grew this 'Mr. Majestic' marigold from seed. It's the sole plant that survived; squirrels dug up the other seeds and ate them. I love the striped petals. At least deer don't eat marigolds- yet. The deer didn't eat my monarda, either. This specimen came from a plant sale at a local botanical gardens a few summers ago. I forgot to stake it, so it flopped everywhere. I love the way it looks like fireworks. Hummingbirds like these, but I didn't see any this year. I wanted to t...

Thursday, February 11, 2010. I don't like dead blogs. They're so.rotty and corpse-filled and.yeah. So, being the quirky individual I am, now for something completely unrelated. I'm glad you so willingly submit to my obvious psychological superiority. :P No, I am not sick or twisted in any way.potentially conceited, but that's no grounds for accusation, right? http://lalarandomrose.blogspot.com/2009/12/reliving-history.html

Sunday, December 20, 2009. I was invited to post on this blog by Lilium bulbiferum. Er Lilly. Anyway, when she invited me, I asked what I should post, her response? And so I post. With the collapse of the economy, people got desperate. The guillotine was erected in many places and people were killed left and right. How did this all happen? The wrong people took hold of power in France. If The Reign of started when the national debt of France was several million dollars and our national debt is:.

lala random rose: The Crucifix

http://lalarandomrose.blogspot.com/2010/01/crucifix.html

Sunday, January 31, 2010. We preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles. I haven't encountered a debate on the crucifix for some months, but recently, I got into one. What is a crucifix? A crucifix is a three-dimensional representation of Jesus on the cross. It emphasizes Jesus' sacrifice - His daeth on the cross. The question that arose was praying in front of the crucifix - is this worshiping a statue? Do we talk to the crucifix and look at it while we pray? This is ...

lala random rose: Lost and Found for arguments?

http://lalarandomrose.blogspot.com/2009/11/lost-and-found-for-arguments.html

Monday, November 30, 2009. Lost and Found for arguments? Listen closely, children. I don't care how you do it, I don't care in what context, I don't give two shakes of a rat's behind what situation. If you isolate an argument in your own little bubble, it will always. Appear correct. It does not make you look, seem or appear smart; in fact it makes you look like a sick, twisted stuck-up. This goes for Christians and Conservatives, too. Thought this was aimed at me at first. XD. December 1, 2009 at 9:35 PM.

http://lalarandomrose.blogspot.com/2010/02/happy-saint-valentines-day_14.html

Sunday, February 14, 2010. Happy Saint Valentine's Day. Lillie somewhat hastily dictates. St Valentine's Day Celebrated. What It Is Today. Maybe you'll even get a card like this while he's at it! Oh, but don't worry, it's not over! There's advertisements up over the web, and over the town - buy your condoms half-off! No, really, we'll give them to you for 75% off! Come buy your condoms today! Anyhow, you get the general idea. I'm not happy, Bob. Not happy. Would you like fries with that? Yes, its sad.

Where Sanity meets with Insanity and they marry and have Very Strange Children. Tuesday, May 5, 2009. Floating on a cloud. Not exactly. ;) It is quite nice nowadays. I feel a little bit jumpier, in the spirit. I just wish you all would continue praying as hard for me, or harder, because I still feel as lost as ever. Ahh, well. The chemises (you hear too much about them, don't you? Who wants a carefully cut and tended crop of grass in front of their house? And, considering, I might even embroider the flan...
