After years of emailing my request for a store in the Denver area, they finally listened to me (I am sure I am the one who convinced them! And we now have THREE stores here. That's right.three Trader Joe's right in my own back yard! Look at the beautiful tulips I got. I love you, Trader Joe's!

Keeping things lined up in my little world. Saturday, March 2, 2013. Bringing Home the Pollen. My bees have done very well this winter, and that is such a relief to me since it is my first year as a beekeeper. It is especially gratifying because I know many beekeepers who have lost 30-50% of their hives this year. It is so sad. I went out to check on them today, and much to my surprise, they were coming back to the hive with their pollen baskets full! Little ladies hard at work. More food for the girls.

Sunday, March 18, 2012. Springtime Garden and Woods. Pring came early this year. The daffodils were finished by the beginning of February. I have grand plans for my garden, as usual. Most of my plants didn't go dormant over the winter, because the weather never cooled down significantly. Some of the daisies persisted in blooming well into December. I like this kind especially because they remind me of growing crocuses when I was little, and of a favorite professor who always wore thinly striped shirts.
