Tonopah Community Garden Blog. Archive for April, 2010. Food really does grow in Las Vegas! The garden is progressing, growing and flourishing. We are really having fun out there. We now have a steady team of volunteers who are invaluable to us. A big thanks to Freddie, Angel, Jeremy, Chris, James, and others who pop in and out as their schedule permits to lend a hand. I will update with pics as often as I can. This peach is going to taste great! Harvesting red potatoes already! Tomatoes and basil, yummy!

Supporting Sustainable Solutions: Coming to a Yard Near You
http://abrahampaissblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/coming-to-yard-near-you.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Coming to a Yard Near You. The average plate of food travels over 1500 miles to get from the field to your plate.
