Confessions of a Tango Addict. Monday, November 29, 2010. It happened last night: A normal milonga, a familiar partner, but uncommonly good music. I became a dancer, or rather I caught a glimpse of the dancer that I am becoming. You know what I mean, it’s that transition that begins when your body has taken over and you are no longer thinking about steps. You read the lead so quickly and so clearly and it feels like the music is making you dance. It feels mature, sophisticated, and fantastically magical.
