Pure Enjoyment!: I've finally tried it...
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2008/03/ive-finally-tried-it.html
My baking and knitting journey. I've finally tried it. The 65°C water-roux starter (湯種). There has been much rave about this 65°C water-roux starter ever since Florence started getting all of us hooked.lol. The water-roux starter is known to yield soft and fluffy bread due to its higher water absorption. The bread has long-lasting freshness too. Florence has given a very good explanation of the 65°C water-roux starter here. 65°C water-roux starter. 3 Continue stirring until streaks appear as you stir.

Pure Enjoyment!: Song of the day, month, year!
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2007/10/song-of-day-month-year.html
My baking and knitting journey. Song of the day, month, year! Today my husband sms me from airport that someone had used our favourite song as a phone ringtone. I suddenly remember the song and went to internet to search for it. The absolute song of the day, month and year is. My Love Will Get You Home - Christine Glass. If you wander off too far, my love will get you home. If you follow the wrong star, my love will get you home. If you ever find yourself, lost and all alone,. June 22, 2008 at 10:41 AM.

Pure Enjoyment!: Little Princess is 3!
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2008/10/little-princess-is-3.html

I made her a Hansel and Gretel Candy House cake this year, to bring to school for celebration. This has been on my plan since beginning of the year when Gina told me about it. As usual, I won't consider this a full score cake, though I think it's better than my earlier Pirate Ship. Of course the little kids in school cou...

Pure Enjoyment!: Apple Custard Buns
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2008/04/apple-custard-buns.html
My baking and knitting journey. Made these Apple Custard Buns yesterday. This was the second recipe (well, actually two recipes as I've combined them) I had followed from the Bun Lovers borrowed from the library. I realised the doughs in this book are all super wet and sticky! Not suitable for hand kneading at all! Maybe a Kitchen Aid (my dream machine) will do the job better. Remember the Nugget Salad Buns. That dough was wet, but this was even worst! I felt as if I was kneading cake batter! If you're i...

Pure Enjoyment!: Older and wiser?
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2009/01/older-and-wiser.html
My baking and knitting journey. I'm behind my blogging again. What's new, right? This is the second cake I've done this year in my new kitchen (the first out didn't turn out well). Having a new functional kitchen can really perk things up. Before this, I was always complaining to hubby of the lack of space to work. Now I can bake a cake from start till end all in the kitchen. This cake wasn't too difficult to bake and assemble. It was a vanilla sponge with layers of yam fillings. The cake turn ou...The p...
