Saturday, July 24, 2010. Byblos Cafe- Restaurant Review. A few weeks ago I went to a cafe called Byblos in Montreal’s Plateau neighbourhood with a friend. Byblos is a very cute Persian cafe with a really cozy atmosphere. The menu isn’t large but it’s divided into main courses, a brunch section and a section with yogurt and legume based dips. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Indian Pumpkin Laksa Soup. I love anything pumpkin. I've actually never carved a pumpkin in my life but I love cooking with them. Usually I end up making pumpkin scones or pumpkin chocolate chip squares but this time I decided to go the savoury route with a Jamie Oliver recipe for Indian Pumpkin Laksa Soup. It is for a thick soup with coconut milk, lime, cilantro, pumpkin and basmati rice. Yum. Once the pumpkin softened a bit I added some rice. Once the rice was finally cooked.

Wednesday, May 19, 2010. I wanted to add toffee chips to my cookies. Since I couldn’t find any, I improvised. I unwrapped a bag of toffee candies. Chucked them into the food processor. They weren’t all perfectly uniform in size but close enough. In addition I decided to use white chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips and marshmallows. Sunday, March 28, 2010. Pied du Cochon Sugar Shack. Like all sugar shacks the seating was fairly rustic. We all sat at long picnic tables and the food was passed around family style. It was nice in a big group but it must be a bit awkward if you’re sitting with complete strangers.
