The recipe this was based on, however, is called “Hamburger Pie” for no better reason than that was the name that its contributor chose to call it. The recipe is from the book. Thursday, May 21, 2015. 1/3 c powdered sugar. 1 c white sugar. 2 (14 oz) cans coconut milk. 2 T coconut extract. 2 c coconut (divided). 1 loaf french bread (cut into 1" cubes). Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 9x13 pan with butter and dust with powdered sugar. Bake on a cookie sheet in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Sprinkle top with remaining 1/2 cup flaked coconut.
