Last weekend, I was trying to clean out my refrigerator and use some herbs and vegetables while they were still fresh. So, I began to create a pile on my kitchen counter of the items I needed to use in my Sunday evening meal. She still loves school and liked all of her teachers. She rode the bus to and from school regularly, as well. Makena is growing up so fast. She is definitely not a little girl any more! Everett passed out about 5 seconds after this picture was taken. Makena had her Christmas piano recital in early December. She played Jingle Bells, Silent Night and Jolly Old St. Nicholas. She was so excited to go! I let her pick out a new dressy outfit at Target for the occasion. Megan was our photographer and took most of these pictures. Phil, Stefanie, Makena, Megan, Everett and Finley. Sunday, February 24, 2013. Makena turned 7 on January 19th! Her birthday was on a Saturday so we were able to have her party on her birthday. Makena opened her gift from Aunt Carol before the party. You would have thought it was her birthday! The kids love it when gifts come into the house even if they're not for them. I printed out some images of the characters and hot glued them to skewers. She decided to wear her Shake it Up costume from Halloween.
