My Food Journey Toward A Healthier Me! September 24, 2011. Smoky Chipotle Lentil Soup. This smoky spicy soup is flavorful and packs a little heat. We enjoy heating up some flatbread with our favorite spices in the oven and cutting into wedges for dunking in the soup. Smoky Chipotle Lentil Soup. 1 lb dried lentils (rinsed, picked through, rehydrated overnight, drained and rinsed again). 11/3 cups Onion, chopped. 11/3 cups Carrot, chopped. 11/3 cups Celery, chopped. Kosher Salt, to taste. 1 tsp Ground Cumin.
