Nifty Thrifty & Thriving: Yarn Money Ornament

http://niftythriftythriving.blogspot.com/2012/12/yarn-money-ornament.html

Monday, December 24, 2012. I started by folding a bunch of dollar bills. I folded some in squares and some in rectangles. I took one of the bills and started wrapping the yarn around it. Once it was completely covered I added another bill and started wrapping yarn. I did this until all the bills were covered and it made a big circle. To finish it off I added some ribbon and a note so he will know what to do and who it is from. Posted by Jen Anderson. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I was featured on.

Nifty Thrifty & Thriving: November 2011

http://niftythriftythriving.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 28, 2011. We recently bought a new house and the one thing that I really wanted to change was the fireplace. It looked extremely plain and needed a mantle. After searching around we found a mantle we thought would look great. It arrived on Saturday and we quickly installed it. I just love it and can't wait to decorate it for Christmas. With the new Mantle. Friday, November 18, 2011. Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse! Monday, November 14, 2011. Crafting with your kids: We are thankful for.

Friday, December 23, 2011. Family Fun Night- Gingerbread. We have started doing family fun night in our house. We try to do something together as a family whether it is just dinner out or something a little more involved. Last week we did a gingerbread theme. We started by making gingerbread man cookies. The boys helped cut out all the men and put them on the cookie sheet. While they were baking we read "The Gingerbread Man". My youngest son got a little carried away. Labels: Family Fun Night. http://niftythriftythriving.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 19, 2012. Family Fun Night- Smores. For family fun night this week we decided to have a little campfire. We started out roasting hot dogs for dinner. It was a cool evening so the fire made it nice and toasty. After we ate dinner we made smores for dessert. Our little guy had never made smores so he was very excited. By the time we were finished it was dark out and we sat around the fire and told jokes and talked. It was a very nice evening.. Do you like yours toasted or burnt to a crisp?

http://niftythriftythriving.blogspot.com/2012/12/grinch-dinner.html

Friday, December 7, 2012. For this weeks family fun night we declared a Grinch Day. We started the day by waking up to our elf holding a sign that said, "Don't be a Grinch! Finding our elf every morning is one of my boys favorite things so we had to have him join in on the fun. After lunch the boys and I made Grinch Cookies. I found the recipe here. They were easy to make with the boys and were very yummy. I found this recipe for Who Pudding. I got the recipe for Who Hash from here. For this fun idea.

The completed recipe is outstanding! Ingredients (Good for about 4ish People). 2 1/2 Cups cooked green beans. 2 Cups Cream of Mushroom Soup. 3 Cups French Fried Onions. Milk, Flour, Vegetable Oil Needed (Instructions Below). Shredded cheese to put on top (now this is what I like and use as much as you want on top, hence no measurement).
