cooking with polly: Macadamia crusted Opah with vegetables and Red Curry Sauce

http://cookingwithpolly.blogspot.com/2012/08/macadamia-crusted-opah-with-vegetables.html

Saturday, August 11, 2012. Macadamia crusted Opah with vegetables and Red Curry Sauce. I know, I know. It's been too long since I've worked on my blog. What can I say? Been so busy but one thing I realized is that you're never too busy, just gotta make time for the important stuff. Bob's been wanting to learn different preparations for fish so this is his first lesson, crusting/breading. Macadamia crusted Opah with vegetables and Red Curry Sauce. To taste Salt and Pepper. 1/2 cup Flour, All Purpose.

cooking with polly: Simply Corn Soup

http://cookingwithpolly.blogspot.com/2009/08/simply-corn-soup.html

Sunday, August 2, 2009. It's summer time in San Francisco and that means it's really chilly all the time, especially on the west side of time. Although it's cold soup time in most of the country with very hot weather, that's the furthest thing from my mind. It's scarf and jacket weather so here is a simple corn soup I made recently. So many ways to cook it:. Grill with the husk or not:. Or simply make a soup. 5 ears of corn with kernels removed. 6 cups of water (enough to cover the ears). Taste and seaso...

cooking with polly: Boiled Peanuts with Star Anise

http://cookingwithpolly.blogspot.com/2012/09/boiled-peanuts-with-star-anise.html

Monday, September 3, 2012. Boiled Peanuts with Star Anise. You can’t get any fresher than this. Straight off the branches, these peanuts are so good. They don't taste or feel like roasted peanuts at all but more like a crunchy bean. These are great just to snack on or toss them into salads or cook them with rice. It's a little labor intensive since the peanuts have to be shelled but you can delegate this task to your kids…. 2 pounds of raw peanuts in the shell resulted in about 5 cups shelled with skin on.

cooking with polly: Padron Peppers blistered with Furikake

http://cookingwithpolly.blogspot.com/2012/08/padron-peppers-blistered-with-furikake.html

Sunday, August 19, 2012. Padron Peppers blistered with Furikake. I thought I'd give these a little Asian twist and sprinkled a version of Furikake seasoning. This is a Japanese seasoning which comes in numerous variation but generally contains sesame seeds, crumbled nori, dried bonito (fish) flakes, chile powder, salts, dehydrated egg and msg. So I made my own variation:. 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted and crushed. 1 each nori sheet, crumbled. Pinch dried bonito flakes, chopped. 1/2 tsp sea salt. Pedron Pe...

Cooking with Pizazz – What's going on in my kitchen…..

What's going on in my kitchen…. I have been enjoying drinking fizzy cold Kombucha this very very hot summer. I have been making my own Kombucha for a few months now. Lately I have been having problems with mold and having to throw the entire batch out. Luckily, I started a Scoby Hotel before the mold stuck so I had extra scobys to start a new batch. Here is a new batch of Kombucha that I just started. The new scoby has not formed on the top yet. You won’t be disappointed! July 24, 2016. July 24, 2016.

Cooking with Polygons - Blog

Welcome to Cooking with Polygons! Cooking with Polygons is my personal blog. I've always wanted to create a baking blog, and a 3D art blog so I figured I may as well combine the two. Cooking and 3D art might seem to be two very different things, but I have several plans to combine them in cool and interesting ways. Anyway, I don't have much to post just yet. So all I can say is watch this space! I enjoy 3D Art and Cooking! This blog follows my attempts at combining my passions.
